  1. Didn’t you hear? One dog became a medical expert in the last half hour.
  2. Off the snide. Good to see.
  3. Hopefully just a little blip and not lingering soreness or something.
  4. Yeah he’s got an intriguing bat, but holy hell is he slow turning a double play. That could hopefully come with reps.
  5. We should just save everyone the time and intentionally walk the leadoff hitter every other inning.
  6. Rodón having a laugh after giving up back-to-back home runs and almost throwing the ball away on a pickoff move.
  7. Scouting reports say his fielding is adequate but the metrics (limited sample of course) say otherwise. If a spot opens up I don’t see the harm in giving him another shot, see what we have in him now that he’s healthy.
  8. Alonso, Colome, Herrera, Nova, probably McCann/Jay wouldn’t qualify as dumpster diving. They’re all getting paid at or above their approximate value.
  9. Yolmer hit .315/.374/.395 at WS as a 20 year old. Madrigal (before tonight) is .281/.354/.351 at age 22. Still too early to be super concerned, but I think at least some concern is warranted.
  10. Eloy in the OF reminds me of wacky inflatable arm flailing tube man.
  11. If they wanted to trade Narvaez for a long reliever/swingman I’m sure they could have.
  12. Literally? You’ve never seen a T-ball game? Those kids are brutal. As others have said, hitting isn’t easy. He’s a fantastic athlete, but athleticism isn’t a prerequisite for being a good hitter.
  13. It’s ridiculous how accurate this is.
  14. Glad Heuer got a mention. Really like what I see from him.
  15. Cordell not in the lineup for Charlotte tonight. Delmonico and Tilson are.
  16. Just for clarification to everyone, McCann won’t have the service time to be a free agent after the season. He should be arb eligible if they want to tender him a contract.
  17. The best I’ve seen his fastball is 94-95 and razor straight. That’s a 45/50 fastball if I’ve ever seen one.
  18. First off, sorry.. I reread my post and I sounded like a dick. But if you are going to assign grades, with mlb guys especially, you need to factor in the highs and lows. It’s movement, velocity, deception, overall ability to execute. I would say Shane Bieber has a 60+fb and reylo is 55, despite throwing harder. Gio has a 45/50fb and is a fringe starter/swingman. If I was giving him a fresh look and didn’t know his pedigree I wouldn’t give him a second thought Every pitcher looks elite when everything is working.
  19. His stuff was the same, the braves just weren’t prepped on him and weren’t good at the time. They missed a lot of hittable pitches.
  20. I thought he had a 70fb? Didn’t you say that last year? If all of his pitches are 55min why should he ditch his curve, as you suggested? Who ditches a 55 curve? Please stop trying to be a scout. I’ve worked in scouting. I’ve been down that road. It’s fun for a while, but it sucks once that while is done. Just try and enjoy the game. Scouting isn’t for you.
  21. I 100% understand the frustration. I feel it too. But I don’t see the satisfaction in someone getting fired because they’re the scapegoat for Hahn/Kenny being ineffective and Jerry being cheap.
