  1. We can trade it for some dank. It’s the weekend, after all.
  2. I think JD was different for the reasons I stated above. He came into spring with a totally different swing that year and they simply overlooked it. Detroit jumped on him and he tore up AAA and didn’t stop once they called him up. He didn’t “figure it out” somewhere else. He figured it out while they still had him, and they still released him. Hindsight is 20/20 and they’ve done a great job overall, but that was a real mistake on their part to not notice and/or believe in the changes he made.
  3. Releasing JD Martinez was a mistake. I believe he tore up spring training that year, but I guess they didnt buy into his swing changes and they released him before the season started. We all know how that worked out.
  4. Man I need to impregnate a girl so I can have a kid and get in on these sweet, sweet birthday party scoops.
  5. What the hell??? this is kind of frustrating to learn.
  6. Isn’t Scarface “the world is yours”? Or is it both? Either way, it clearly says Shy’s the hint. Shy as in Chi. Chi as in Chicago. Chicago as in White Sox. Hint as in I’m signing with dem ShySox
  7. We don’t need your pity. There’s dozens of us. DOZENS!
  8. Just read through the thread. Sometimes I think Levine’s “source” is his reflection in the mirror.
  9. Which is what? not doubting you, just been busy all day and maybe I missed something.
  10. The responsibility of the draft lies primarily with the Scouting Director, so to judge a GM based on successes or failures in the draft doesn’t make a ton of sense.
  11. There’s no guarantee anyone will get a hit against anyone. That’s a silly way to look at it. The dodgers aren’t trying to legitimize themselves as players. They are trying to win the series they keep losing.
  12. Regular season is different from facing a specialized loogie in a short series.
  13. I think the point is that many pitchers can look like an ace for one game.
  14. I dunno...it’s hard to know what motivates a guy, but he’s 33 years old. This is probably his last shot at a big multi-year deal, so I doubt he cares about his role as much as the years/AAV.
  15. Phillies: 33.3% Yankees: 33.3% White Sox: 33.4%
  16. He still put up a 4+ WAR season, which is more than Harper can say.
