3/26- Sox vs Rox, 3:05, Free Webcast
ChiSoxFanMike replied to flavum's topic in 2023 Season in Review
I’m guessing if the Moncada stuff was injury related one of the beat reporters would have tweeted about it by now. -
Maybe you shouldn’t act like you know everything all the time.
-
You have no sources.
-
There’s no way I would pick Haseley over Billy. Haseley doesn’t even compliment this roster well and doesn’t have the speed or defense that Billy does.
-
Typical stupid post from you.
-
Should we be concerned?

3/14 Sox vs A's, 3:05PM CT, A's Cast

I still think carrying both Leury and Alberto on the bench at the same time is dumb but we all know they aren’t getting rid of Leury any time soon. -
That Bennett guy hyped this up so much only for it to be that in a bad location. It’s not even really a billboard. Very anti-climactic.
-
That “billboard” is the size of a large napkin.
-
I’ve seen his act on Twitter too. I don’t get what the point of this is for him. Surprised he hasn’t had an ulcer by now.
-
I absolutely fathom reality. But from the looks of it, this team provides you no happiness whatsoever. If that is indeed the case, then I don’t understand what you gain from following the team.
-
Then stop following the team.

Andrus to the Sox, expected to play 2B, 1 yr, $3 mil

Bad decision. You can’t have a beer with someone who knows as much about baseball, draft prospects, and the inner workings of the White Sox like he does every day. He truly is a baseball genius. -

How in the world can you hate this? He’s better than who they had at 2B and he can also play SS. It is a fine deal for 1 year. -

Claiming Justus Sheffield or whoever for depth purposes doesn’t add much of any money. They simply do not care. -

Why would he step down? There are only 30 MLB GM jobs out there and we all know he wouldn’t get a chance being a GM elsewhere seeing how bad he is at the job here. -

Only way he’s not the GM of this team by the end of the year is if he decides to leave on his own. He is never getting fired and you can say that about anyone in this front office. -

He knows everything! -
The current options haven’t done anything to prove that any of them should be given the job.
-
He sucks less than their current options. That’s the point. Obviously wouldn’t be my first choice but he is an improvement over who they have now.
-
He was a positive WAR player who was above average offensively both years he was with the Sox (though it was a small sample size). That’s far more “success” than I would expect from their current options.
-
Leury is terrible. Romy is terrible. Sosa might be good eventually but was terrible in a small sample size last year. Of those 4 options I would choose Madrigal. He wasn’t that good in 2022 but isn’t that far removed from being productive and also has the most past success of that group.
