  1. Let's say Washington hypothetically got Rutherford from the Yankees and included him in a Sale package. What would you guys say to this? Sale for Giolito, Robles, Rutherford, Stevenson, Severino, and Fedde.
  2. QUOTE (Ro Da Don @ Dec 6, 2016 -> 11:33 AM) Gio Gonzalez, right? Not Giolito? Rutherford would be a nice add.
  3. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Dec 6, 2016 -> 10:51 AM) He deleted it so I am guessing he found out it was BS. or he deleted it because it was leaked info that wasn't supposed to be posted on a forum.
  4. This would be great. Either take Boston's superior offer or force Washington to include Turner. I hope Hahn makes the right choice.
  5. Glad I didn't take off today. Nothing has happened whatsoever except the Thornburg trade.
  6. QUOTE (Sockin @ Dec 6, 2016 -> 10:14 AM) I see it like this. The Sox clearly have trouble developing position players and don't have much of a problem developing pitchers. Robles is good but he's raw and a few years away and while Giolito is nice, the org is almost barren in any MLB ready position player prospects. You could use any of the other guys to trade and get a top 100 pitching prospect that the org wouldn't have trouble developing into an MLB pitcher, you can't say the same about good position prospects. This was my thought process almost word for word when I made the original post. I also prefer Moncada to Giolito as the headliner because he hasn't had any major surgery and is younger...and is a hitter, like you said. Robles might have all the potential and tools in the world but he's so far away from the big leagues that anything can happen over the next couple years with his development. Moncada is much more polished and would most likely be in Charlotte next year. Heck, he could be in Chicago in 2017 if he proves himself worthy. Moncada/Kopech/Swihart/Basabe/Travis wouldn't be terrible, though I'd like Devers too.
  7. If Boston would rather move Moncada than Benintendi, that's fine. Moncada was a higher ranked prospect for a long time and has more upside IMO, though he also has much more risk. He's definitely a worthy centerpiece in a Sale trade...much more so than Giolito or Robles.
  8. QUOTE (OmarComing25 @ Dec 6, 2016 -> 09:35 AM) Take it with a massive grain of salt but a guy on a football message board that broke the news of the Thornburg trade 18 hours before it happened is saying he has a source that says the Red Sox are making a push for Sale with Moncada/Kopech/Basabe. http://www.footballsfuture.com/phpBB2/view...144406#21144406 This. This I could get behind. I'd like Devers to be included as well but I'd still prefer this over Washington's offer even without him.
  9. QUOTE (OmarComing25 @ Dec 6, 2016 -> 09:23 AM) Is this Hawk's account? There was no mention of TWTW in his post, so no.
  10. I've been thinking about it. Are you guys as pissed about this bull s*** as I am? I don't care that Giolito and Robles are highly ranked. Why is Chris Sale getting an equal or possibly worse return than Shelby f***ing Miller?
  11. QUOTE (TaylorStSox @ Dec 6, 2016 -> 08:56 AM) Yeah, tons of stuff. It's mostly about a guy punching a kangaroo though. Lol, I saw that video. Amazing.
  12. QUOTE (Y2JImmy0 @ Dec 6, 2016 -> 08:49 AM) We'd all love Turner, Giolito, and Robles. Jesus christ people. Turner was like a 3.5 WAR player last year in 70+ games. He'll be a 5 WAR position player. Sale is a a 5-6 WAR pitcher. Trading Turner to acquire Sale doesn't really do anything for the Nationals. There is no chance that they do that and we'd all be better off not expecting it anymore. Giolito is best pitching prospect (outside of Urias) in baseball. Robles is a legit stud. They need other pieces for sure and I'm guessing would get them. Bregman isn't available. Red Sox seem to be out. You can totally tell who has done research and who just chooses to freak out by just reading this thread. I wouldn't say that. Dombrowski is NEVER out.
  13. Anything new on Twitter? It's killing me not having access to it right now.
  14. QUOTE (BlackSox13 @ Dec 5, 2016 -> 10:02 PM) Lmfao! People complain because the Sox haven't traded Sale yet and now that some info leaks out about what a Nat's package for Sale would start with and people still complain. The deal isn't official and neither are the suspected pieces. Relax. I'm fine with a deal that starts with Giolito and Robles. Just waiting to see what the rest of the package looks like. For now, I'm patiently waiting. I wish I could stay this calm. I love you.
  15. QUOTE (Knuckles @ Dec 5, 2016 -> 06:59 PM) Josh is a nice and smart guy, I think he's getting a little impatient as most of us are though. He's been nothing but condescending and ignorant when I've interacted with him, but I guess he just doesn't like me. Lol.
  16. Josh Nelson is an idiot. Just ignore his nonsensical ramblings and move on.
  17. Trea would be perfect in CF for us. I'm not holding my breath that he comes here though.
  18. Seeing Boston in the mix again makes me really, really happy.
  19. QUOTE (NCsoxfan @ Dec 5, 2016 -> 01:00 PM) Jon Heyman ‏@JonHeyman 2m2 minutes ago Nats are said to stepping for Sale. Meeting this aft. Red Sox are involved, and others, too. Things are heating up! Yes, yes, yes!!! LET'S GO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  20. The Nationals are in la la land if they think they can get Sale without Turner and Robles. I hope the Sox look elsewhere and tell them to f*** off or include Turner.

  22. QUOTE (Y2JImmy0 @ Dec 5, 2016 -> 11:37 AM) For Robertson? No. It'd be like 1 extra piece. And they pay the 2/25 contract. I was talking about Jones. But I think they could get more than 1 piece for DRob in this market.
  23. QUOTE (Y2JImmy0 @ Dec 5, 2016 -> 11:25 AM) I wonder if Nationals would be interested in Robertson or Jones with Sale since Melancon is going to the Giants This is a great idea in principle but Washington would have to allow the Sox to clean out their system for me to consider it.
  24. QUOTE (WhiteSoxLifer @ Dec 5, 2016 -> 11:25 AM) If nats miss on melancon (who's close w/ SF via @Ken_Rosenthal ) perhaps more likely they step up for sale, cutch https://twitter.com/JonHeyman/status/805824415820816385 Okay. Make Turner available and maybe something can happen. No way they get both Sale and Cutch without him.
  25. Can someone tell me why Washington is so appealing if Turner isn't involved? Giolito has already had TJ and didn't do much of anything at the big league level, and Robles is a 19 year old in A ball. The Sox can't develop a player like him.
