  1. This pregame discussion has just about half as many posts as the entire game thread had yesterday lol.
  2. QUOTE (smalls2598 @ May 9, 2016 -> 03:25 PM) 1. Adam Eaton (L) RF 2. Jimmy Rollins (S) SS 3. Jose Abreu ® 1B 4. Todd Frazier ® 3B 5. Melky Cabrera (S) LF 6. Brett Lawrie ® 2B 7. Avisail Garcia ® DH 8. Alex Avila (L) C 9. Austin Jackson ® CF 1. Rougned Odor (L) 2B 2. Nomar Mazara (L) RF 3. Adrian Beltre ® 3B 4. Prince Fielder (L) DH 5. Ian Desmond ® LF 6. Mitch Moreland (L) 1B 7. Elvis Andrus ® SS 8. Bobby Wilson ® C 9. Delino DeShields ® CF Yeah, I don't see this ending well for Gonzalez. Hope I'm wrong.
  3. At first I thought they were referring to Carlos Sanchez and I was very confused lol. Even with Avila back, Navarro should get the bulk of the playing time, IMO. He's much better offensively and not that much worse defensively.
  4. Honestly, he is replaceable if Eaton can stay in RF. If May can play a decent defensive CF and have an average bat, I'd rather have him. He has plus speed and would be cheaper than Jackson.
  5. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ May 9, 2016 -> 12:07 AM) Navarro's obviously not going to keep hitting like this forever, and he's going to wear down...but Avila will be going on a rehab assignment soon and he'll inevitably have his hot and cold streaks too. For now, they can continue to trawl that LH hitter market and simultaneously have the fact that Avi's at least temporarily holding his own to not force a desperation move or overpay there. Focus for the time being has to be on the 5th spot in the rotation, first and foremost. The name that's pretty interesting is Wil Myers...because he's not a "superstar" solution but he would give the White Sox the perfect mix of DH/OFers and bench. He'll become more expensive from 2017-2019, so SD might find it easier to sacrifice him than finding a taker for Matt Kemp, for example. Left-handed, can also play 1B. Would give them a lot more pop, especially from the left-hand side. His offensive numbers are being suppressed playing half his games at PetCo. Having Cabrera, Jackson, Eaton, Myers and Garcia would give you three young players under team control through at least 2019, also. Obviously, the White Sox have failed miserably with most of their OF prospects, so this is an obvious area of need. Myers hits right handed, no?
  6. Let's start this road-trip off right by continuing our dominance over these f***ers from the Alamo State. Go Sox!
  7. Supposedly Q had a finger cramp today, hopefully it isn't too serious.
  8. Happy Mother's Day, everyone! Let's celebrate by sweeping these f***ers behind Q and starting the roadtrip on a nice little winning streak. Go Sox!
  9. Hell of an outing for Sale tonight considering that 1st inning. Hold the lead and get him to 7-0.
  10. Good inning there. Now chip away and score a run or two.
  11. Twins lineup tonight. 1. Darin Mastroianni, RF ® 2. Eduardo Nunez, SS ® 3. Miguel Sano, DH ® 4. Trevor Plouffe, 3B ® 5. Byung Ho Park, 1B ® 6. Oswaldo Arcia, LF (L) 7. Jorge Polanco, 2B (S) 8. Kurt Suzuki, C ® 9. Danny Santana, CF (S) SP: Ervin Santana, RHP Sale lucks out in that Dozier and Mauer are out of the lineup. If he can avoid giving up anything major to Sano, Plouffe, and Park, he should have a good chance at doing well tonight.
  12. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ May 7, 2016 -> 03:19 PM) If they would trade Trout, I doubt Sale would be someone they would be interested in. i would think they would want younger guys with many years of control. Maybe a 3 way trade where a team with the prospects the Angels would want would want Sale. I love Sale, but I would trade him straight up for Trout in a heartbeat. So would I, but it'd take even more than just Sale to land Trout. Probably Sale, Q, Eaton, Fulmer, and Adams would be enough, but that'd make no sense for the Sox.
  13. There's no way the Sox get Trout without giving up Sale.
  14. Let's have our ace and the 2016 AL Cy Young Award winner dominate the f*** out of these scumbag motherf***ers. Go Sox! Go Sale! Keep winning.
  15. QUOTE (oldsox @ May 6, 2016 -> 10:25 PM) Sale will be cool tomorrow. This is the first time he has been on a contender. If Sox need to retaliate, Lawrie can bite a Twinkie with his fangs. I hope you're right about that! I'm just afraid that the Twins will tee off on him like they did last year.
