  1. QUOTE (Jose Abreu @ Dec 10, 2015 -> 04:52 PM) Most of these names are from the 90s or later... I'm sure there were some far worse players than Keppinger, Dunn, or Bonifacio during the 1900s. John Goodell was pretty bad too.
  2. QUOTE (Markbilliards @ Dec 10, 2015 -> 04:44 PM) Andy Gonzalez. I'm still angry to this day about how much playing time he received. I can sort of see why Ozzie did that though. He was only 25 at that point and they figured that they might as well give him a chance to see what he had since that was already a lost season. Needless to say it didn't work out, but I really don't fault Ozzie for that.
  3. QUOTE (Chet Kincaid @ Dec 10, 2015 -> 04:42 PM) Felipe Paulino Another good name I forgot about. What about Gustavo Molina and Donny Lucy? Weren't those 2 guys heralded prospects at one point and supposed to be the heir apparents for A.J? Haha.
  4. Bret Prinz and Ryan Bukvich were also pretty terrible. Hell, that entire 2007 bullpen was terrible except for Jenks.
  5. Does anyone besides me remember Agustin Montero and Dewon Day? Man, those 2 stunk in 2006/2007.
  6. QUOTE (dayan024 @ Dec 10, 2015 -> 04:33 PM) Adam LaRoche I wanted to post him but I didn't want to get crucified either haha. I hope he turns it around next year for the sake of the team.
  7. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Dec 10, 2015 -> 04:22 PM) Looking at the worst players is fun? I'm bored. It's the offseason. With no baseball. We need something to talk about. Give me a break.
  8. I figured this might be a fun topic to reminisce and talk about all the crappy players the Sox have had throughout the years...LOL! Ronald Belisario comes to mind for me right away. Feel free to share your opinion. Thanks.
  9. QUOTE (Lillian @ Dec 10, 2015 -> 04:10 PM) For how many years is that $200 million offer? I'm guessing anywhere from 7-10.
  10. How would you guys feel about a Trayce/Avi/Danish for Marcell Ozuna/Derek Dietrich swap?
  11. QUOTE (Jose Abreu @ Dec 10, 2015 -> 12:25 PM) Don't you remember the Samardzija and Tanaka threads? I wasn't on this forum a year ago... I wish I would've registered here earlier. I love this place.
  12. It would be so awesome if the Sox swooped in and got him at the last second.
  13. QUOTE (SouthSideSale @ Dec 10, 2015 -> 12:13 PM) Why couldn't Avi start in AAA? Probably because Hahn doesn't want to pay a guy $2 million or so to play in AAA.
  14. QUOTE (Saufley @ Dec 10, 2015 -> 12:06 PM) As I said in my post, what about developing a closer from our organization. With all of these young power arms is there a closer there? Robertson is one of our real chips for a trade and it might be worth to trade. Just throwing out ideas. I guess so, but I feel like it's too early to put Montas or Fulmer into that role and Nate Jones isn't good enough. Who knows.
  15. This thread has almost 1,000 replies. Wow.
  16. QUOTE (Saufley @ Dec 10, 2015 -> 11:31 AM) What about our own David Robertson. I liked the signing of Robertson last year and would not mind keeping him. But, I wonder what his worth is? If Hahn could trade him for another position player who could help why not deal him. Why not look at our own organization and try to develop a young arm into a closer? Who would the closer be for the Sox if he was moved? I feel like if the Sox want to compete, they need an elite closer. We all remember the 'closer by committee' disaster in 2014. I don't want a repeat of that.
  17. I think Fulmer's floor is an elite closer and his ceiling is a very solid #2 starter. We'll have to see how he develops.
  18. I'd be fine with LaRoche/Montas/Danish for Cargo/$$$
  19. I could see Cincy getting desperate to move him before the season starts, hence lowering the package that the Sox would have to send to them. I'd wait it out a little while to hopefully get Cincy to give in on a deal.
  20. I want absolutely nothing to do with Matt Kemp...a deal for him has disaster written all over it.
  21. I wonder what DRob would bring in a trade.
  22. QUOTE (ptatc @ Dec 9, 2015 -> 09:43 PM) It's amazing how many people were blasting KW about possibly paying too much before the deal but are praising Hahn for making a great deal afterwards. They gave up minimal assets to get him. It makes you wonder why the A's were so desperate to get rid of him after only 1 year when he was an important piece of a trade. He's not a good clubhouse guy from what I've heard, but I honestly don't give a rats ass about that. He has serious talent at a position the Sox seriously needed to upgrade. If he plays like he can and helps the team improve, I really couldn't care less what his personality is.
  23. QUOTE (Frank_Thomas35 @ Dec 9, 2015 -> 09:37 PM) I'd shipp my pants. I see what you did there.
