  1. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Aug 23, 2015 -> 10:58 AM) 18, one for each half inning. That doesn't include pitching changes though haha.
  2. Can someone that will watch the entire game keep a count of how many times they play the Miller Lite commercial? I would, but I won't be able to watch the game today.
  3. QUOTE (CaliSoxFanViaSWside @ Aug 22, 2015 -> 11:50 PM) You will always remember. Carry on my wayword son, there'll be peace when you are done.
  4. One of these days we should keep track of how many times they play that commercial throughout the game. I'd guess at least 20 or so. Speak of the devil, there it is.
  5. QUOTE (Jose Abreu @ Aug 22, 2015 -> 11:24 PM) I really, really hope you're joking. I used to hate it but it's grown on me and now I start singing along any time it comes on the TV.
  6. QUOTE (Jose Abreu @ Aug 22, 2015 -> 11:19 PM) Chuck Garfien ‏@ChuckGarfien 49s50 seconds ago This Miller commercial with the dude singing "Carry On My Wayward Son" must be destroyed. Enough! He's right! That's one of my all time favorite commercials.
  7. QUOTE (flavum @ Aug 22, 2015 -> 09:56 AM) On its own, number of Ks should make no difference. You got to take the whole picture into consideration. Right now, he's not winning that award. He's probably not even top-3. Who's ahead of him? Keuchel, Gray, and Price? Those 3 might be have a better shot than him now, but he's right behind them IMO.
  8. Am I the only one that thinks that Sale is a lock for the Cy Young if he can somehow get to 300 K's this season? That feat is so rare in this day in age that I don't know how the voters couldn't give it to him, regardless of his ERA.
  9. QUOTE (TitoMB @ Aug 21, 2015 -> 11:16 PM) There's no way he wins it though. His ERA is too high. That matters to voters, apparently. All it takes is for Gray or Keuchel to have a bad outing (and they will at some point), and his ERA won't look so bad.
  10. QUOTE (TitoMB @ Aug 21, 2015 -> 11:12 PM) don't matter anymore. he's out of the race. No he isn't. He's still in the top 3 or 4 if the voting ended today.
  11. QUOTE (Jose Abreu @ Aug 21, 2015 -> 11:03 PM) I'm at the point where I'm rooting for Sale to give up a single so I can stop being so mad There you go. Now root for him to strike out the side.
  12. Do you guys think that this is still possible? He probably has 9-10 starts left and he needs 92 strikeouts for 300. I'm hoping that he can do it.
  13. QUOTE (Jose Abreu @ Aug 20, 2015 -> 03:48 PM) 4th behind those mentioned above and Archer Do you really think Archer would rank that high? He's not that impressive IMO.
  14. Where do you guys think Sale ranks in the Cy Young race? I think as of now, he'll finish 3rd behind Gray and Keuchel.
  15. The Angels pitcher is a scrub, so I think the Sox might be able to muster up 1 run against him. Hopefully Q has no-hit stuff tonight.
  16. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Aug 17, 2015 -> 09:18 AM) I have seen a lot of sox pitchers over my time. Peak Chris Sale is better than all of them. He has the competition of a Jack McDowell, the cunning of a Mark Buehrle, and the pure stuff of a Bobby Jenks. If he can keep this up for a decade or so, I would call him the best I have ever seen before. All time is a tough comparison because of the different eras, but he would be in the discussion for sure. I agree with all these points. I think even when his stuff diminishes (and at some point it will), he can easily become a Buehrle type pitcher and just pitch to contact and use finesse and location as opposed to pure power. Assuming he doesn't have any bad injuries (knock on wood), he's well on his way to a HOF career IMO.
  17. QUOTE (buhbuhburrrrlz @ Aug 16, 2015 -> 06:12 PM) is there a more likeable manager in the MLB? Robin Ventura.
  18. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Aug 16, 2015 -> 02:35 PM) Yes. I value health over a no hitter I disagree, but that's just me.
