I think the issue is sale has so much talent but still has some issues between the ears. There's a lot of times when he's pitching and something bad happens in the game against the sox and tries to do to much after that instead of just going at a steady pace.
This.
Normal Chris Sale = Effective
Pissed/Angry Chris Sale = What we saw today/against Boston.

Good thing they pushed him so hard for some stupid strikeout record last month that no one cared about
They rode him way too hard during those starts in hindsight.

Would be interesting if Robin throws Thompson out there in his debut against Archer. Would be a hell of a "Welcome to the big leagues kid" moment.
I actually wouldn't be opposed to it.
Letting him face Archer in his big league debut would show him what the best of the best look like at the MLB level. Who knows, maybe Thompson could surprise us.
This is an absolute must win game if the Sox want to stay in this thing. Our ace against their ace. Sale better have his good stuff. A loss pretty much means we are done IMO.
Feel free to post your predictions for each pitcher. I'm going to guess:
Sale - 7.1 IP, 5 H, 1 ER, 2 BB, 11 K
Archer - 7 IP, 4 H, 2 ER, 1 BB, 9 K
The Sox win 3-2 and Sale gets his 10th win of the season.

So basically, he might not make it to us but he won't get past us. Here's hoping. I'm done with Saladino.
Saladino has not been bad...

Please call a physician for that longer than 4 hour boner you got.
LMAO.
Although I'm the same way with Sale, so I can't really talk.
