    Jerry isn’t going to pay Bauer. He also isn’t going to pay Springer. Hendriks is the next best option. I would rather overpay him than have that money continue to sit in Jerry’s wallet.

    I’m getting less optimistic with every passing day that the Sox will sign Hendriks. Watch some team swoop in and get him while the Sox are still haggling over a couple million dollars.

    Eaton is an outsider on this team. He’s not running the show anymore. Not to mention that he could potentially be playing for another contract. I would hope he can behave himself.

    If it offsets the price then the Sox shouldn’t have to give up Dunning. That’s my point. They can have Stiever and a couple other filler pieces.

    I know. But Heyward’s contract is an albatross. No way would I take him off the Cubs hands AND give them a promising young pitcher. Jed Hoyer can get bent.
