  1. Did Katz straight up say that Lopez is going to be a reliever from now on?
  2. I feel like the longer this drags on, the better. Ideally we want the Mets to sign Realmuto because that probably decreases the chances that they will also get Springer.
  3. What are we thinking it would take? If Vaughn isn’t involved it would have to be Kopech as the headliner, right?
  4. Moncada and Anderson weren’t anywhere near as established and highly thought of during the 18-19 offseason as they are now.
  5. Lol the Sox aren’t even close to being on the same level as the Yankees or Rays as things stand right now.
  6. I believe he used to play CF so he should hopefully be a decent defender in RF even after the injury. The big question is if the Sox think his bat will translate from the KBO to MLB, but there's no doubt that he put up monster stats in Korea for the past several year.
  7. This is a great way to turn a potential 4-6 year window of contention into a 2-3 year window.
  8. This guy has been a beast in the KBO for a long time and apparently he’s being posted. He might be one of my top choices for RF if the Sox don’t get Springer.
  9. I’m fine with Rosario if and only if they spend big money on a pitcher *cough Bauer cough*
  10. If you see no reason for optimism then why are you on this forum? Why spent time on something that gives you no joy?
  11. At least Capra is gone. I swear he caused the Sox to run themselves out of so many innings over the past few years.
  12. At the end of the day, all the “posturing” and “stealth mode” BS people claim that the Sox do every single offseason doesn’t mean a damn thing if Jerry isn’t willing to open up the checkbook for the elite free agents.
  13. Does Springer have a brother in law we can sign?
  14. So that’s probably a good thing. Don’t want anything to leak.
  15. Sherman is operating under the assumption that the Sox will be at the top of a bidding war. That’s easier said than done with Jerry Reinsdorf being the owner of this team.
  16. Bauer really is the optimal solution. He’s the best starting pitcher on the board and the Sox wouldn’t have to trade away any prospects to get him. Do it, Jerry.
  17. Lol no he’s not. And it doesn’t make sense for the Sox to give up long term assets for a rental.
  18. Trading for Lynn and Gallo would honestly be disappointing in my opinion given the other options available.
