  1. Since we're talking hypotheticals here, if the Sox signed Martinez, Corey Dickerson, Cole Hamels, and a decent reliever this offseason, would you guys be happy with that?
  2. They only signed Jay because they thought having him would give the Sox a better chance of landing Machado. They didn't sign him on his own merits.
  3. This has to be one of the worst games for Leury in recent memory
  4. I'm fine with the Sox losing the rest of the way if the games are like this. The young guys have been fantastic tonight for the most part
  5. Cease looks fantastic and Moncada is locked in at the plate
  6. I feel like this team is even worse than they were at this time last year. Not good.
  7. So let me get this straight...the Sox aren't calling up Collins, Mercedes, or Mendick?
  8. Ricky is bad, but nowhere near as bad as Ventura was.
  9. Thoughts on the Stone/Paciorek broadcast tonight? I feel like they have no chemistry at all.
  10. The Sox can't have an employee that contributes something positive to the organization. That's against the rules.
  11. I would be so damn happy if this happened. Maybe Acuña Jr's extension could be the baseline for Moncada and Blake Snell's for Giolito?
  12. Because the Sox desperately need a quality right fielder and TA7 is the most likely guy to switch positions. But the Sox would just be better off keeping him where he is and signing an actual right fielder
  13. Agree with this. I think TA7 is athletic enough to play RF if the Sox were to sign someone like Gregorius to play SS. I wouldn't switch Moncada's position anymore though. He's the best player on the team and clearly comfortable at 3B. Don't mess with that.
  14. I don't think Cole would suddenly stop pitching at a high level once he leaves Houston and their pitching lab. But knowing our luck, he probably would if he signed with the Sox. Lol
  15. Bumgarner: career National leaguer + a ton of mileage on his arm Wheeler: not having that good of a season in the NL + a fairly lengthy injury history Hamels: old + wasn't good in the AL in the first half of last season Ryu: career National leaguer + injury history + doesn't have a track record of being a workhorse Strasburg: injury history + not a guarantee he'll even hit the free agent market Keuchel: not having that great of a season in the NL To me, it's Cole or bust. He makes the most sense for so many reasons
  16. Jose Ruiz has like one outing a month where he looks absolutely unhittable, and then sucks the rest of the time
  17. Stone is nothing but a shill for the front office these days
  18. Beard hasn't been able to hit at all so far. But at the very least, he could be our version of Terrance Gore in the postseason. He's that fast.
