I forgot about Floyd and Swarzak. Even so, I think the game has passed Cooper by. I would love to see a fresh face in his position but that won't happen until he wants to quit.
I would like to see the Sox take a lot of pitching in this draft. Obviously they need to take the BPA available at every pick, but infusing more pitching into the system would be great given all the injuries they have had lately.
This season hasn't gone how we had hoped so far, but a lot of the key pieces at the MLB level have been very good. Anderson, Moncada, Eloy, Rodon. Now we just need Lopez and Giolito to get on track.
I remember Lopez having an absolute dominant start when he was with the Nationals. I think he struck out 11 in 6 innings against the Braves. So the potential is obviously there. It just appears like the Sox won't get the most out of him. In fact he's regressed since the Sox traded for him, which is really telling. And not in a good way.
