The Cespedes/Upton/Gordon offseason a couple years ago was annoying too but that pales in comparison to this. We're a good 2+ months in to these negotiations and there's still no end in sight. Just brutal.

This is the worst offseason I can ever remember.

This jersey thing is even more of a reach than the Manny possibly wearing a Sox hat video from a few weeks ago.

The scary thing is that this could go on for another month, if not longer.

I wouldn't be surprised to see Madrigal and one or two of the superfluous outfielders traded for a pitcher at some point. Especially if they get Machado.

In hindsight, the Nova trade looks like a massive overpay.

Why would either of them take a 1 year deal when they will get hundreds of millions of dollars now? They could get hurt at some point next season and never be the same. There is no point for either of these guys to bet on themselves and take a 1 year pillow deal. It's way too risky.

I would be more worried about the Padres if they hadn't signed Hosmer. It's hard to envision a relatively small market team having 2 massive contracts.

I remember it was early December when the first rumors came out...I was supposed to be studying for my finals but I was glued to this forum/Twitter because I really thought something was going to happen then. We're now 2 months past that and nothing has changed. ??‍♂️

I think we will all be dead by the time Manny makes his decision.

I told Manny to please sign with the Sox on his IG Live just now. Hopefully he'll listen.

My gut feeling is that the Padres are only being mentioned so Lozano can squeeze more money out of the Sox.

I always assumed Machado would sign first, but maybe Harper/Boras are tired of Lozano's shit and just want this to be over already.

Incarcerated Bob is just as bad as Dan Clark. Both throw a bunch of shit at the wall and hope it sticks.

Harper going to Philly would be great for the Sox. I don't really think San Diego is all that serious about him so he could conceivably fall in our lap.

Imagine the collective meltdown in this thread if the Sox don't get Machado...

Ultimately I think all of us are just cranky that nothing has happened yet and the "I know something but won't tell anyone" mentality that is rampant both here and on Twitter is just throwing fuel into the fire at this point.

I don't think anyone is asking for these insiders to post every minuscule tidbit of what they know. It's more of the fact that these people make it very clear that they have "insider sources" but refuse to share any of that information when people ask them for details. It just comes off as a grab for attention, at least to me.
