  1. I'm so tired of this bullshit already. Just sign somewhere and put all of us out of our misery.
  2. Dan Clark is such a fucking clown. I've never wanted someone to be more wrong in my entire life.
  3. If they insist on him switching positions, I'd much rather have him go to CF. Eloy/Moncada/Robert in the OF and then get a legit 3B either through free agency or a trade. I just don't think Moncada's skillset will be utilized to its full potential at 3B.
  4. I might be in the minority on this, but I do not like the idea of moving Moncada to 3B. At all.
  5. I'd do that for sure. I like Dunning, but the Sox have several other talented arms and 3B is a bigger need right now, assuming the Sox miss out on Machado.
  6. I've always thought the Sox and Reds would make good trade partners. The Reds need pitching. The Sox have plenty of that. The Sox need a quality 3rd baseman. The Reds have several guys that fit that mold. I think there's potential for a deal.
  7. This is the worst case scenario. This is terrible. This is awful.
  8. Why? Happ and Contreras aren't even that good.
  9. I agree 100%. I feel like they would be much better off signing a second baseman like Jed Lowrie on a 1 year deal and going after Dallas Keuchel to beef up their rotation. Going after those 2 makes the Yankees a better team than if they were to spend huge money on just Machado in my opinion.
  10. He's has a lot of confidence, I'll give him that. But every ounce of his credibility is gone if he gets this wrong.
  11. I've been a big supporter of Hahn, but if he misses on the big 2, does nothing else this offseason, and the team shows no improvement in 2019, he needs to be gone.
  12. I personally don't think Pollock or Moustakas are the long term answers either, but I'd much rather have them than Engel and Yolmer if push came to shove.
  13. Not that I want this to happen, but let's say the Sox miss on both Harper and Machado but sign Pollock to play CF and Moustakas to play 3B, both on 3 or 4 year deals. How would you guys react to that?
  14. I guess, but I don't really foresee any of those 3 guys having much trade value a year or two down the line. None of them are that good.
  15. If the Giants were to completely tear it down and start over, that process from start to finish obviously takes several years as all of us Sox fans are well aware of. Schwarber has 3 years of control left, Almora 4, and Happ 5. The Giants would only reap the rewards of taking on those guys for a short period of time in a couple years and that's if their rebuild progressed fairly quickly. That just doesn't make a whole lot of sense to me. It might be a different story if the Cubs had several top prospects whose MLB service time hadn't started yet, but that's not the case.
  16. Like fathom said, I think the Giants should just rebuild at this point. But the fact that they're even rumored to be interested in this deal shows that rebuilding isn't even a possibility for them. In that case, I think they'd be better off signing Lowrie/LeMahieu/Dozier to play 2B and Markakis to play OF for a fraction of the financial commitment that Heyward requires. Like I said, Schwarber and Happ shouldn't be a good enough reason for the Giants to do a deal in which they take on Heyward.
