Kind of off topic but Frazier has been a massive disappointment with the Sox. I realize they didn't give up much for him, but still. He's very underwhelming.
-
I'd love for Willy to turn into something. It's not likely but I think he has a better shot of becoming a productive big leaguer than May.
-
Who got sent down? May? We gotta see an all Garcia outfield at some point now.

QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Apr 12, 2017 -> 12:19 PM) All you have to do is read the Cubs catch all thread on this page to know the unhealthy obsession many Sox fans have with the Cubs... and that is the diehards. The Joe Average guys are even worse about it. I don't think anyone on Earth hates the Cubs more than me, but if they offer the best package for Q, then I have no problem with him ending up there. It would be annoying and upsetting, but I'm a Sox fan first and foremost. The return for Q is much more important to me than seeing him possibly win a World Series with the Cubs. -
QUOTE (Y2JImmy0 @ Apr 12, 2017 -> 11:22 AM) He did. He said it before he was drafted too though. It wasn't like he loved Chris Sale and then changed his mind after the Sox drafted him. That's how people act. Goes to show how some of these "experts" aren't always right like some people make them out to be.

QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Apr 12, 2017 -> 11:02 AM) Law was down on the White Sox when KW was in charge. Just look at all his ridiculousness regarding Chris Sale. Even when it was clear he was wrong, he didn't budge for another year or 2. I don't see much if any bias now, but for a while there, he definitely had a chip on his shoulder regarding the White Sox. It didn't help that most of their prospects did suck, but the ones that didn't, he was down on them all. Law was the guy that said Sale would be a future reliever. LMAO.

QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Apr 12, 2017 -> 10:59 AM) Awesome to see that Alec could bounce back with such an impressive performance after such an awful one. What was his line in his previous start? I must've missed it.

QUOTE (Jose Abreu @ Apr 11, 2017 -> 08:54 PM) I'm like the 6th person in America that has never watched GOT but this is a pretty solid idea. White Sox need to do s*** like this when they're good let alone rebuilding. I'm like the 7th person in America that has never watched GOT but this is a pretty solid idea. HANSEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Love that guy.

QUOTE (Y2JImmy0 @ Apr 12, 2017 -> 09:25 AM) He could reduce it a little bit. He's not like swing crazy though. He has high OBP's. Guys that are patient and take a lot of pitches tend to strikeout a lot. If he was making weak contact and grounding out a ton people would be praising him for not striking out. It really doesn't make any sense. True. Like I said, if he hits .300 with a plethora of extra base hits and gets on base at a solid clip, I really wouldn't care if he struck out 30% of the time. I do like his left handed swing much better than from the right side though.

QUOTE (shipps @ Apr 12, 2017 -> 09:23 AM) There are people that get all those right and still sound like absolute morons because of their opinion or thought. But I get it, pet peeves are all across the board different. Mine is the sound of someone chewing their food, I cant stand it to where it makes me physically uncomfortable that its hard for me to not say something to the person about it. This is definitely a good one. I also hate when people blatantly chew with their mouth open. Or people that are on their phones while doing their business in a public bathroom and then not washing their hands afterwards. -
Do you think Moncada will be able to reduce his K rate in the minors? Or will he always be the type to swing and miss a lot? Frankly I don't care as long as he does damage when he puts the bat on the ball.

QUOTE (CaliSoxFanViaSWside @ Apr 12, 2017 -> 08:28 AM) lol . If I had a dollar for every time I saw misuse of they're, their and there I'd be rich. It's so easy to understand the usage of each one but I constantly see them misused . Also " your" and "you're" and, this one is the worst ;" would of ", "could of " , and " should of " for would've , could've and should've . These are some of my biggest pet peeves. People are absolute morons. It's not that hard to get it right and yet very few people do. -

QUOTE (Y2JImmy0 @ Apr 12, 2017 -> 08:45 AM) I always just use commas and periods everywhere. Even in text messages. I don't like to appear uneducated. I feel like I'm too formal on apps like Twitter. But it's easier for me just to type like I always do instead of trying to act cool. -

QUOTE (steveno89 @ Apr 12, 2017 -> 07:55 AM) Haha, it seems formal for a message board Does it bother you that much? It bothers me greatly. I develop a rash whenever I read your posts...not because of the content, but because of the lack of punctuation. -
QUOTE (soxfan2014 @ Apr 11, 2017 -> 12:07 PM) Every game he has played this year has been at 3B. Thought I remembered him playing outfield in Spring Training. Could be wrong.
-
Can Delmonico play third base? I thought he was just an outfielder now.

QUOTE (soxfan2014 @ Apr 11, 2017 -> 11:13 AM) I want to say that it is for the extra year of service. Anyone else think the Sox will be aggressive in trying to sign him to an extension very early (let's say by next season) trying to buy-out a few years of free agency? I have no doubt the Sox want to sign him to an extension like they did with Anderson but I don't know if Moncada would do that. He'd probably want to test free agency when he's 28 or 29.

QUOTE (Jose Paniagua @ Apr 11, 2017 -> 10:56 AM) Kris Bryant is coming to my workplace in an hour to do a promotional batting practice thing. When will this every day nightmare end Get his autograph and then sell it. -
I'm curious in knowing when Asche's number retirement and statue unveiling will be.

QUOTE (Yoda @ Apr 10, 2017 -> 07:42 AM) Will you guys be friends at least? A couple of years ago I was head over heels with this girl who was not looking for a relationship so we ended up just being friends. Went to a couple of Sox games, concerts, and all that but remained just friends. Fast forward to today and I'm living a happy life with my gf (whom I met online a little less than 2 years ago) and our 4 month old baby and let me tell you, things do happen for a reason. I wouldn't have it any other way. Wife her up.

QUOTE (soxfan2014 @ Apr 11, 2017 -> 10:08 AM) Why is Cody Asche on the roster? 1. They need to fill an MLB roster without rushing guys to the majors. 2. Guys in minors need seasoning. 3. Service time on younger guys in minors. 4. He was once a top prospect so why not. 5. He probably won't be on this team come June. I love you.

QUOTE (Y2JImmy0 @ Apr 11, 2017 -> 10:00 AM) Hinted towards them being clearly in the mix while not really mentioning the player by name Thanks. I saw Dave mention it but I didn't think there was any way he'd give a definite answer.
