  1. No offense but these moral victory posts are kind of silly. The Sox will need to beat teams like Houston if they want to go all the way this year.
  2. This lineup as currently constructed is just not good against RHP. Need another bat. Maybe two.
  3. Good. Then they will be motivated to trade for reinforcements.
  4. Where did the Trea Turner rumors come from? Is there reason to think that might actually happen?
  5. Is Lance Lynn actually a bum who was only good because of foreign substances?
  6. I don’t think Madrigal will be back this year but getting Eloy and Robert back eventually will be a huge boost.
  7. You clearly have no idea how good Marte has been this season. He would be a massive upgrade in RF even though he doesn’t walk that much.
  8. They would be acquiring Escobar to play 2B, right? I don’t believe he’s ever played RF at the MLB level.
  9. They still need an outfielder and he could play right field. No more Leury and Eaton playing every day.
  10. Mendick might be a decent replacement for Madrigal, but they absolutely need to get an outfielder. Leury isn’t going to cut it.
  11. I disagree, I don’t want to see a combo of Leury/Mendick/Eaton play every day for the next month and a half.
  12. They typically don’t provide updates for these kind of things until some time in the afternoon.
  13. I was of the opinion that the Sox needed to add reinforcements even before Madrigal got hurt, but they definitely need to now. An outfielder, a right handed set up man, and potentially a 2nd baseman (if Madrigal is out for awhile) are obvious areas of need. Who do you think the Sox should trade for and who would you give up for them?
  14. I bet he’s done for the season. That did not look good at all.
  15. I don’t understand the logic behind taking out Keuchel, he could’ve pitched one more inning.
  16. I would be really nervous giving Rodon a contract like Eovaldi got...there’s just not a long track record of him pitching at the level he currently is. I’d definitely give him a qualifying offer though, so at least the Sox would get a pick if he leaves.
  17. You guys are also assuming Kelenic would have still developed the way he did if the Sox drafted him, which is far from a guarantee. This organization doesn’t exactly have the greatest track record as far as developing position players goes. But yes they still should’ve taken him over Madrigal.
  18. There are at least 3 automatic outs in the lineup tonight. Not going to score a whole lot of runs that way.
