  1. QUOTE (greg775 @ Jun 21, 2015 -> 12:02 AM) There's no reason to trade Sale, Q, Rodon or Danks. Once again, that's a good foursome for the future. A playoff foursome. Now what they have to do like I said before is try again with the everyday lineup and bullpen. Trade all the guys I've mentioned in many threads as a do-over and also add Duke and Robertson to the trade lineup. You are talking about another chance at acquiring productive ballplayers. Hahn can't keep striking zero on trades. Granted Melky and LaRoche and Lexi, etc., won't bring as much as before but they'll still bring something. Boston is starting DeAza for gawdsakes. Teams need name players and we got em and need to f***ing trade them ASAP! Time is wasting. We're not winning anything with these guys in the future. Trade them now. The words "Danks" and "a good future" should never be used in the same thought.
  2. QUOTE (Y2JImmy0 @ Jun 20, 2015 -> 11:10 PM) They never deal though. I think their last deal was Aardsma for Cotts. I know, that's why all these rumors are BS and a waste of time. We all know that nothing will ever come of them.
  3. QUOTE (Y2JImmy0 @ Jun 20, 2015 -> 11:05 PM) He was a 5 WAR player last year, is cheap, and locked up for 5 years. It would cost Schwarber or there's not a chance I'd make the deal. Why do people keep bringing up Cubs/Sox trades anyway? They never happen. Same here. But it is what it is. I just don't think the Cubs would give up that much talent for Q. I feel like the Sox/Cubs are always brought up as trade partners because the Sox have the "desirable" veterans that the Cubs could use to further their "playoff push", and the Cubs have some nice prospects that the Sox could use to help boost the farm system and to hopefully make an impact in future years.
  4. QUOTE (Y2JImmy0 @ Jun 20, 2015 -> 11:01 PM) I'd take Schwarber and Baez for Q probably. Or maybe Schwarber, Villanueva, and Alcantara I highly, highly, highly, highly doubt the Cubs would be willing to part with Schwarber without getting Sale in return. I think we value Q a lot more than they do.
  5. QUOTE (AustinIllini @ Jun 20, 2015 -> 10:51 PM) To sum up thread: Sale is paid to do his job, it sucks he doesn't get help, but wins for a pitcher don't really matter. The White Sox cannot possibly win a trade with Sale in it, so he's untradeable.
  6. QUOTE (TheFutureIsNear @ Jun 20, 2015 -> 10:10 PM) Young, left, relatively cheap for an extended period of time, slots into the top 3 of pretty much any rotation in baseball. Schwarber, Starlin Castro, and Pierce Johnson would be my asking price. Might be crazy, idk, but Q's value to our team is extremely high in my opinion. There is no chance the Cubs accept that offer, sorry.
  7. QUOTE (SoxPride18 @ Jun 20, 2015 -> 05:34 PM) Just got back from the game, good to get a win. 3-1 this season when I go and 8-1 the last 2 years. Eaton did a great job today getting on base. He's slowly getting that average up. Rodon was fantastic, making hitters look dumb. Was the ump squeezing both pitchers today? It looked like it, but couldn't really tell from the upper deck. There was not a hard hit ball hit off of Rodon today. It was great to watch. Just glad Sox got a win. I noticed this as well, especially when Rodon was pitching inside to right handed hitters.
  8. QUOTE (Condor13 @ Jun 20, 2015 -> 04:29 PM) Horrible offense yet again. Only scored one run and then just gifted the other two on an absolutely easy double play ball that andrus booted. We won a game that was given to us, we need to actually win a game I think we should take whatever we can get at this point.
  9. QUOTE (Soxfest @ Jun 20, 2015 -> 01:50 PM) Rangers lost the review rest of game right............wrong they can ask for umpire review so losing challenge does not mean s***. ............
  10. QUOTE (fathom @ Jun 20, 2015 -> 02:23 PM) AAA pitching must be simply awful for Sanchez to hit as well as he did there. Isn't Leury Garcia hitting around .300 at AAA? That proves your point even further.
  11. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jun 20, 2015 -> 01:50 PM) I distinctly remember the whole point of calling New York was that they were supposed to have seen the play and have the answer in hand before the umps even get the headsets on. That was my interpretation of it as well.
  12. I don't understand how those replays take 5+ minutes usually.
  13. Abreu has been a major disappointment too honestly.
  14. QUOTE (Condor13 @ Jun 20, 2015 -> 01:18 PM) Not sure about this but it looked like Rodon was looking at his finger like he was dealing with a blister I didn't notice that. Hopefully it isn't too serious.
  15. How do you think Rodon will do today? My guess is: 6.1 IP, 6 H, 2 ER, 2 BB, 6 K and he gets a no decision.
  16. I'd love Correa from the Astros, but I know that would never happen.
  17. Let's win today, ok? The Sox hit Martinez hard down in Texas, so hopefully it's more of the same today.
