    If it offsets the price then the Sox shouldn’t have to give up Dunning. That’s my point. They can have Stiever and a couple other filler pieces.

    I know. But Heyward’s contract is an albatross. No way would I take him off the Cubs hands AND give them a promising young pitcher. Jed Hoyer can get bent.

    I feel like the longer this drags on, the better. Ideally we want the Mets to sign Realmuto because that probably decreases the chances that they will also get Springer.
