  1. If the Sox bring back Yolmer, it will be for cheap. I’m fine with it at this point because his talent will finally be utilized correctly. He’s not going to get 600 at-bats anymore. He’s fine as a defense oriented utility infielder.
  2. It’s a lot lower because of 14 starts and 73 MLB innings under his belt? C’mon man. We literally just witnessed Giolito go from the worst pitcher in baseball to one of the best in a single season. Give Cease some more time.
  3. I’m really glad the Sox didn’t trade Cease for 2 years of Syndergaard.
  4. I remember when Jeff Samardzija hit Paulie in the face with a pitch at Wrigley. Dude was a bum and watching him pitch that one year for the Sox made me want to rip my eyes out.
  5. It’s insane how long of a leash Covey has had with this organization. He might be one of the worst pitchers in the history of baseball to get more than a handful of starts, and I’m not exaggerating either.
  6. I want them to DFA Covey because I would cry tears of joy if he never pitched for the Sox again.
  7. Sox should sign Pedro Strop, Cody Allen, and Danny Salazar to minor league deals with invites to spring training. Whoever has the best spring gets that final spot in the bullpen. Or they could just sign Collin McHugh.
  8. Trade for Edwin Diaz and then this team will be ready to go to war.
  9. I’m really in no hurry to bail the Cubs out of financial hell, but the Sox trading for Kimbrel would be interesting if they could get him for pretty much nothing.
  10. As of now, Marshall, Cordero, Fry, Herrera, Bummer, and Colome are all locks to be in the bullpen next year. Assuming the Sox go with an 8 man bullpen, that leaves 2 open spots. Maybe someone like Ian Hamilton or Zack Burdi will earn a spot during Spring Training, but I’d like to see the Sox bring in at least one veteran reliever. I’m not thrilled with Cishek but at least he’s dependable.
  11. I hope so. I feel like it’ll be Cishek and then a veteran non-roster invitee.
  12. The Sox have had a good offseason but I just don’t understand why they are letting relief options come off the board left and right. The bullpen is easily one of the biggest question marks for this team and they’ve done basically nothing to address it.
  13. For better or worse, I don’t see him signing with the Sox at this point. So I’ll be happy as long as he doesn’t go back to the Cubs. Make this offseason even worse for them.
  14. The Sox need to get a reliever ASAP. The options are dwindling fast.
  15. I think I’m in the minority here, but I would love to see the Twins sign Josh Donaldson. Giving a 34 year old over 100 million dollars doesn’t usually work out too well and that contract crippling them in the future would be fantastic.
  16. Would the Sox be able to even sign him? I know they were penalized for awhile after the Robert signing. Don’t really know how the international signing rules work.
