This might have been discussed before, but doesn't it seem like the Sox are always linked to a player before the draft that they don't end up taking? It was Brady Singer last year. I believe it was J.B. Bukauskas the year before that. Maybe Abrams is that guy this year.

Come on Greg. You're better than this. The Sox just played 3 games against the hottest (and maybe best) team in baseball, with 2 of those games being started by Banuelos and Covey. I would've been shocked if they had won even 1 game in this past series. But just because they got swept by the Twins doesn't mean the rest of the season is meaningless.

My expectations for him heading into this season weren't all that high, but my goodness has Rondon been terrible this year.

I don't want Abrams either. Give me Vaughn, or in a perfect world, Rutschman.

If they sign him after the draft and give him a handful of starts in the minors to shake off the rust, they could run out a rotation of Giolito/Keuchel/Lopez/Cease/Nova by the beginning of July. I don't expect it to happen but it sure would be nice.

There's no reason not to sign him if he's still around after the draft. All they would have to give up is money. Then again that's a lot to ask for a Reinsdorf owned franchise.

Cease is probably coming soon enough. And Keuchel is still out there. Add those two to the rotation and make Nova the #5 starter.

This team is good enough to compete for the 2nd AL wild card spot. I 100% believe that.

Eloy is going to be an absolute monster if he can just become average defensively in LF.

If we're talking about the Sox trading with the Cubs, I'd much rather go after Nico Hoerner (even though he's hurt) than Happ or Almora Jr.
