4/4 - Sox @ Tigers, 12:10 CDT - Cannon v. Flaherty
WBWSF replied to WestEddy's topic in Pale Hose Talk
If Robert Jr and Vaughn continue to tank this is going to be a long year. I think its fair to say if they do not produce they couldn't even be traded for anybody decent. That being said, it will be curious to see how this plays out. -
4/2 game, they going to get the game in?

How long does Teel have to be in the minors? -

The only thing worse than losing baseball games is losing baseball games with no hitting. I thought if Robert Jr, Vargas, Vaughn and Benintendi would hit this team would be better. Only Benintendi is hitting. I also thought that Quero, Teel and Meidroth would be on the team to provide some hope for the future. None of the 3 are on the team. The thing that gets me about this whole situation is that ownership seems content with all of this. -
If they bring up Quero, Teel and Meidroth sooner rather than later and they produce this team could be playing meaningful games in September. The miracle on 35th Street could happen!

The team could have been 3-0 with some offense. Lets hope they add some hitting sooner rather than later. -
Eloy was never the same hitter after getting hurt in a Spring Training game in 2021. He lost his power after the injury.

No, it wasn'tme.

Today was my 55th straight Opening Day. They're always more fun when the White Sox win. I'm hoping Montgomery and Teel or Quero are brought up and if they produce this team could really be good. whI'm hoping that Montgomery and

Getz traded Cease and Crochet. As of now the White Sox don't have one member on their roster who they received from those trades. I've requested an interview in the past with JR to be the White Sox GM. I think I could have done a better job trading Cease and Crochet than what Getz did.
-
Eloy was sent down to the minors today by the Rays. Maybe the White Sox will pick him up again.
-
I'm still hoping new ownership will take over sooner rather than later. The franchise needs a shot in the arm. If anybody doubts me go look at the advance ticket sale on ticketmaster for the White Sox home opener. It looks like half of the stadium is not sold out.
-
I hope so.

81 wins if everybody stays healthy.
-
A healthy lineup of Robert, Benintendi, Vargas, Drury, Vaughn and Meidroth should be decent. I'm disappointed that Teel and Quero didn't make the team. Hopefully they will be brought up soon.
-
If the team stays healthy I'm expecting the team to win at least 81 games, maybe more.

Hoping Burke is successful on Opening Day and will help lead the team to a great 2025 season!!!!

1) The Cubs draw at least 20% of their attendance from out of state fans. The White Sox have only said that out of state fans are LESS than 10% of their attendance. The perception that the area around the White Sox stadium has always hurt them attendance wise. 2) Everybody seems to assume that the new owner will want a new stadium at the 78. Maybe not, perhaps he will want to build anew stadium in some suburban area. I don't know where but I think its a possibility.
-
In all modesty, if I was hired as the GM and given a free hand this White Sox team would be much better than what it is now.
-
Lets hope that something happens soon. Most White Sox fans aren't too optimistic about things turning around under the present ownership. I couldn't help but notice on Ticketmaster that the White Sox home opener has thousands of unsold tickets. New ownership would provide some hope for the future.
-
When the White Sox agreed to stay in Chicago in the late 1980s and not move to Florida, JR said that having a team in Florida was a better business model than staying in Chicago.
-
I thought some news would breakout by now. Still hoping we hear something today.

If Braden Montgomery has a great spring training perhaps he is the new left fielder.
