I agree with you. i don't believe in tanking. Some so called White Sox fans post they hope the team keeps losing and others say stop going to the games. Those fans should find something else to do and support another team. -

Hated to see Burger traded. This means we have to have Moncada in the starting lineup thru 2024. -
If JR would have moved the White Sox to St. Pete it would have been the worse move in the history of sports. As you mentioned, he would have sold the Bulls also. So instead of being part owner of the Chicago White Sox, part owner of the Bulls and part owner of the United Center he would have been part owner of the Florida/Tampa Bay White Sox. They've already had 4 owners in St. Pete. If they don't get a new stadium on the other side of the Bay they will move the team out of there. Nobody talks about this but Eddie Einhorn was the one who wanted to move the team. If it would have been up to him they would have moved the team to Florida. When the team stayed here Einhorn sold most of White Sox shares to JR and left the scene.

Perhaps Montgomery will be the starting shortstop and Anderson will be the 2nd baseman in 2024 for the White Sox.
-
There's an article on Twitter that states that JR just spent $17 million dollars on land near the United Center. Don't know if he wants a new baseball stadium there.

It looks to me as if the team is just going thru the motions now. Last night the Rangers hit a double play ball to Moncada and he threw the ball to first base. Steve Stone thought that Moncada forgot how many outs there were. I was hoping the team would play Burger every day at third base the rest of the season. Instead they traded him, which tells me Moncada will be the third baseman in 2024. Anyways this looks like the last 2 months of the season are going to really be ugly. I can't help but wonder if the manager is going to survive the rest of the season. If this team continues to lose I wouldn't be surprised if they fired him before the season ends.

There are still some perks. You buy a parking pass package for $17.00 a game if you're a season ticket holder. They use to send out a special bobblehead to season ticket holders. That has ended.
-
Being a season ticket holder I talked to numerous people last night who are going to renew their tickets. They have already been contacted by their ticket reps. My rep hasn't contacted me yet but I will renew when the time comes. The old saying is true. You can't beat fun at the old ballpark.

The rebuild has had mixed results. The team got into the playoffs two years in a row for the first time in their history. Unfortunately they haven't won a playoff series during this rebuild. Hopefully, 2024 will put the team back into the playoffs.

White Sox baseball is like New Years Eve. Pure joy and happiness!!!!
-
I noticed again last night at the game that when Moncada bats from the left side the opposing teams third baseman is basically playing shortstop. The whole third base line is unoccupied. All he would have to do is bunt the ball down the third base line and he could easily get to first base without a play. Then again, maybe he doesn't know how to bunt.

How do the Sox move forward now that tanking isn't an option?

I don't pay attention to most of your posts. Your relentless criticism and total negativity towards the White Sox doesn't interest me. Still, do you think the bullpen would have been better if Hendriks had been on the team? Losing a All Star bullpen pitcher like Hendriks has really hurt the team. -

Your post is on target. I'm hoping that Colas and Burger have a good August and September. That would solve some of the problems in the future. I noticed that the Cardinals want to trade Willson Contreras. I don't know what they would want for him but he would upgrade the teams catching here. -
The team has had a bad season because the team has scored 3 or less runs in more than half of their games. There are too many outs in the lineup. Losing All Star closer Liam Hendriks has hurt the bullpen and team tremendously. I'm expecting the team to add a couple of hitters in the off season and hopefully Hendriks will be good again next season. With a few added pieces there isn't any great need to rebuild the team. The division is not strong and could be won next season.

Benintendi has turned out to be one of the best signings by Hahn. He's a good ballplayer. I'm glad he's on the team.
-
I assumed that Colas would start every day against righties the rest of the season. I guess I was wrong.
-
Some, time, some where, some day, Moncada will be back on the team. Burger has 22 home runs and 44 rbis. Moncada probably won't hit 22 home runs the rest of his career. I'm really curious to see if they bench Burger and play Moncada full time. Its time to move on from Moncada. Even if they have to release him and eat his money. So be it.
-
Wonderful win!!!! I really liked that Burger and Colas had a good game. If these two can continue to produce the future will be much brighter.

White Sox still one of just seven teams to see attendance falls

With the lease expiring in a few years they're not going to do anything major in or around the park. -
Garrett Crochet will be the starting rotation in 2024.
-
I read in todays Sun Times that Pedro has 2 more years remaining on his contract.
-
It would really be a good PR move if Ozzie is made the manager this off season.

1) In the real world that most of us live in the average marriage lasts 10 years. 2) In the world of entertainment, (Movie and Tv stars and athletes) the average marriage lasts 5 years. 3) I read a few years ago that 85% of MLB players get divorced. 4) Its not our business if Giolito gets divorced. 5) To say his divorce reflects on the White Sox organization is simply crazy.

Do you think the results would have been better if Hendriks was with the team?

Trading One Year Assets is Inevitable. Maybe even 2-yr

Why wouldn't the White Sox pickup Liams option?. He has been one of the best relief pitchers in MLB the last few years. Not having him in the bullpen this year has really hurt the bullpen and the team this year. The team would have had more wins if he would have pitched this year.
