Cesar Hernandez traded to White Sox, Konnor Pilkington to CLE
WBWSF replied to KrankinSox's topic in Pale Hose Talk
I wonder if Hahn would sign Javy Baez and put him at 2nd base next year. -
The only GM job I want is the White Sox job. If I was the GM I would have never traded Madrigal for Kimbrel.
-
I have a simple solution to all this. Pickup the 2022 options on Kimbrel and Hernandez and then trade them to the Cubs for Madrigal.

I realize that most White Sox fans are caught up in this season. Still, I'm starting to worry about the 2022 MLB season. Reading some of these comments about a strike/lockout is disturbing. Hopefully the owners and players can work something out. Another baseball strike would really harm the sport.

If I was the White Sox GM I would have never traded Madrigal. If Moncada doesn't hit the rest of the season he wouldn't be on the team in 2022. This is his 2nd year where he hasn't hit. I really don't think he would bring back much in a trade.

I wonder if Moncada is going to be on the 2022 White Sox team.

I wouldn't be surprised if the White Sox traded Adam Engel.
-
I often wondered if the White Sox tried to sign Ohtani.

I don't write him anymore. He's stopped replying to my letters so I don't see the point in writing him anymore. Its really a shame he stopped responding to me because most of my letters/ideas were good. Him and I don't know each other personally but we have met. He knows who I am. He knows that I think he has been a lousy owner with the White Sox. The only positive thing I can see about this ownership is that he has made nothing but money with the franchise. He's very good at making money. Other than that I think his ownership has been a flop. I wish I would have had the money to buy the team in 1981. I would have made a better owner of the team than him.

No I don't want to trade him. I just wish he would start hitting some home runs. And no I don't think there are alot of teams who would want him under the present circumstances. (No power and big contract)

There have been comments by White Sox fans on this site and elsewhere that they should trade Moncada and keep Burger. I'm beginning to wonder if there is much of a market for Moncada. This is the second year where he doesn't have any power. No power for a 3rd baseman and a big expensive contract doesn't exactly make him wanted by other teams.

Other than Rodon and Lynn is it time to start worrying about this White Sox starting rotation?

Hahn: Too early to know if Sox will be buyers
WBWSF replied to southsider2k5's topic in Pale Hose Talk
After this Houston series the White Sox have a easy schedule all the way thru the All Star break. I wouldn't be surprised if Hahn didn't make any trades and just waited for Eloy and Robert to come back. s -

Just curious, is Nashville going to build a new stadium for a MLB franchise? -
Rick Hahn will speak to media today around 4-5 pm
WBWSF replied to Greydawgfan1's topic in Pale Hose Talk
Perhaps if he says goodbye, I will finally get my interview with JR for the GM job. -
I've tried buying tickets numerous times today through the White Sox website/ticketmaster. I can't get thru. Is anybody else having the same problem? No matter what passcode they give me I can't get thru.

I read something a few days ago about the Arlington Park racetrack closing at the end of this season. There has been talk again about the a stadium being built there for the Bears. The writer also implied that it might be a site for a new White Sox stadium also. Perhaps 2 stadiums might be built on that land. One for the Bears and one for the White Sox.

1) A ugly win but a win is a win. The White Sox would have lost this game a few years ago. 2) I read where Jose Ramirez turned down a long term contract with the Indians in the last week. Ramirez is a free agent at the end of the year. Cleveland has a recent history of trading there upcoming free agents. I wonder if they are going to trade him.

Steve Stone said this past weekend that the White Sox are going to start having more seats available which will lead to bigger crowds. Does anybody have any idea when this is suppose to happen?
