  1. Thank you for believing in me. But I will take a pass on Manager, Pitching Coach, Hitting coach, Third and first Base Coaches. I will take the GM job if offered to me. I have a tremendous amount of confidence in my abilities. I would make a tremendous White Sox GM.
  2. JR would have been better off hiring me. I could not have possibly done any worse than Hahn and i would have taken less money to be the GM than what he gave Hahn. The other GMs in MLB have to be envious of Hahn. Hahn has been the GM 7 years and has not had one winning season and he keeps his job. He would of been gone by now with every other MLB team.
  3. Obviously McCann isn't highly thought of by the people running the White Sox. I wouldn't be surprised if he was traded before the season ended.
  4. I wish he would have been a lawyer. He's been a lousy GM.
  5. 1982 was the first year of Einhorns Sportsvision fiasco. His feuds with Harry Caray and sportswriter Bill Gleason didn't endure him to many White Sox fans either.
  6. I always thought Einhorn was deeply wounded by the lack of success of his Sportsvision Tv network. He jumped the gun with Sportsvision. The Chicagoland area was not wired for cable yet. If fans wanted Sportsvision they had to buy a expensive box which Sportsvision was on.. He should of waited until the Chicagoland area was wired for cable. The average fan wasn't going to buy an expensive package to see White Sox games when they could watch the Cubs for nothing. Also Einhorn had a massive ego. He didn't like playing second fiddle to the Cubs. There were no tears shed when he left the scene here in Chicago. When he sold most of his shares of the White Sox to JR he was rarely seen here in Chicago. When Einhorn died a few years ago I thought it was disgraceful that JR put Eddie patches on the players uniforms for that entire season.
  7. 1) Having 7 inning games is nuts. 2) The team looked dead again. If this continues the rest of the season I'm sure that the team will have a new manager next season. 3) Mazara looks like the second coming of Adam Laroche. So far he has really looked bad.
  8. It was one of the ugliest situations in White Sox history. Former co-owner Eddie Einhorn wanted to move the team to Florida. He said Florida was the greatest opportunity for MLB since the Dodgers moved to LA. Einhorn was walking around Chicago with Florida White Sox shirts. He made so many ugly comments about the White Sox fanbase, he was getting death threats. He was so scared he hired body guards to protect him. Former sports writer Jerome Holtzman said JR took a poll of White Sox investors and half of them wanted to move to Florida. They bought into Einhorns bullshit that Florida was the land of opportunity for baseball. If Governor Thompson hadn't saved the day both JR and Einhorn were going to fly to Florida the very next day to sign the papers to move the team to Florida the following season. JR has said a number of times that he would of sold the Bulls if the White Sox had moved to florida. Say what you want about JR but the one positive thing I can say about him is he is very good at making money. Moving the White Sox to Florida would have been the biggest mistake of his life. It would have been the worse move in the history of sports ownerships. If he would have moved the White Sox to Florida he would have been part owner of the Florida/Tampa Bay White Sox. By staying in Chicago he remained part owner of the Chicago White Sox, part owner of the Chicago Bulls and part owner of the United Center. Baseball in Florida/Tampa Bay has been a flop. The Rays have already gone thru a number of ownerships. The only reason why the team hasn't moved is because they are locked into there lease for another 8 years. If things don't change in St. Pete the next few years that team will move out of there. The main thing is that Governor Thompson saved the team for Chicago. Another positive thing was Einhorn sold most of his shares of the White Sox to JR and he left the scene. You rarely saw him or heard from him after that.
  9. Former Illinois Governor Jim Thompson died today. He was responsible for saving the White Sox for Chicago. If it wasn't for him the team would have moved to Florida and don't let anybody tell you differently.
  10. Can't help but wonder if the White Sox are going to offer Colome a long term contract.
  11. No you can't wave Grandal away but you could trade him. I don't see how the White Sox bettered themselves by signing Grandal. McCann was on the all star team last year, Hahn could have signed him to a long term contract this past off season. He probably would have been cheaper than what they gave Grandal. He is also younger than Grandal.
  12. Hahn should have signed McCann this past off season to a long term contract. And No I would not have signed Grandal to along term deal.
  13. James McCann is a free agent after this season. I hope the White Sox resign him. If I was the GM now I would sign him up right now with a long term contract.
  14. Former Mets manager Gil Hodges said "Losings not funny, its a sickness". This is another sick looking White Sox team. This looks like this will be the 8th losing season in a row. The team is one game ahead of last place Kansas City. I really don't think JR cares about winning as long as the team is making money. Forbes magazine said that the 2018 White Sox (A team that lost 100 games) were the 6th most profitable team in MLB. Forbes hasn't come out with the 2019 totals but I would assume the team made some big money in 2019 also. Hahn has to have one of the best jobs in MLB. His teams lose year after year and he keeps his job. He would have been fired years ago with most other MLB teams. This past off season is looking more and more like a bust. Other than Keuchel every other player Hahn has brought in here hasn't done well. I noticed today that Fernando Tatis Jr and Frankie Montas were named the players of the week in there leagues. Hahn traded both of them. Hahn isn't being held accountable and i find that amzaing. He should thank god every day he still has a job.
  15. White Sox manager had a closed door meeting with his team before the game tonight. There's a old saying in baseball, good teams win games and bad teams hold team meetings.
  16. The team has looked dead the last few games. They are closer to last place than they are to 1st place. Hopefully they can win a couple games in Detroit.
  17. He hasn't responded to any of my letters the past few years. He use to write back to me but not anymore. I'm still hoping that one of these days he will come to his senses and grant me a interview for the White Sox GM job. Mark my words, if I ever get the interview and get the job i will be the talk of the city and all of baseball.
  18. I pay little attention to the bad guys on the Northside of Chicago. I don't watch there games except when they play the White Sox. I know there starting players but know very little about there bench or bullpen. The White Sox signed one of there players (Steve Cishek) this past off season. I never heard of him before the White Sox signed him. I knew absolutely nothing about him. Now that I've seen him pitch for the White Sox these last few weeks this looks like another bad signing. I've read a number of times that the Cubs are hurting in there bullpen. They just picked up Herrera who was just cut by the White Sox. If the Cubs want Cishek back they can have him.

    Grateful

All White Sox fans on this site should be grateful for the people who run this site. Freedom of speech is accepted here. That wasn't the case with WSI. To the best of my knowledge WSI is out of business, The moron who ran that site chased away most White Sox fans. At times it gets heated on this site but the fact remains all opinions are accepted here.
  20. I'm "The Worlds Biggest White Sox Fan". (WBWSF) I've been a season ticket holder for years. I see virtually every White Sox game. That alone should get me an interview. Our present GM has numerous degrees. I only have one degree. All of Hahns degrees hasn't brought any success as a GM. He has been a failure as a GM. His record speaks for itself. Realistically, if I had the GM job I couldn't do any worse than him. I've said it before and i will say it again. I would give JR the most unforgetable interview of his life.
  21. Yes. I've written JR letters for years. He usually responded to me. Whenever I've written him requesting to be interviewed for the GM job, he has never responded. Maybe this time he will come to his senses and give me a interview. I would give him the most memorable interview he ever experienced. If I get a response from him I will be sure to let everybody know on this site.
  22. Maybe the White Sox are just off too a bad start. Maybe the White Sox are not as good as the Twins or the Indians. Maybe the White Sox are just not a very good team. I've already read on this site and elsewhere that the White Sox might replace their present manager. That just might happen. All in all, this looks like another losing season in the dreadful Rick Hahn era. This could be the 8th year in a row that the team has had a losing season. Hahn has not had one winning season here and he keeps his job. If the White Sox had an owner who cared about winning, Hahn would have been gone years ago. I thought Hahn was not going to have his contract renewed a few years ago. I even wrote JR a letter requesting an interview for the White Sox GM job. JR never responded to me. I'm going to write JR another letter and I'm going to offer him my services as the new GM. i hope to get a response this time.
  23. I realize its only 3 games and Stone said the Twins are a very good team, still is it time to start worrying about this white sox starting pitching?
  24. I read in the Sun Times today that the bad guys on the Northside of Chicago want to have 7,000 fans allowed at there home games this year. If they get the approval from the City of Chicago I would like to think the White Sox would do the same thing.
