  1. I would do backflips if Colome was traded and they received a good player in return. Not a bust like they received for Robertson.
  2. Colome might be one of our best tradeable resources but I just hope the team has somebody who can close out games if he 's traded. I don't want to go another year and a half without a closer. I also don't want him traded for nothing like Hahn traded Dave Robertson for nothing.
  3. I hope that Colome stays with the White Sox. He has been the only good closer the team has had since Dave Robertson.
  4. I don't know or care if JR is a hands on owner but anyway you look at it JR IS A LOUSY BASEBALL OWNER.
  5. Couldn't your description of Hahn being a bean counter, and a contract guy also apply to JR? JR is not a baseball guy and a terrible owner. The one good thing he is good at is MAKING MONEY.
  6. Can we DFA JR, Hahn and Renteria?
  7. ALonso and Castillo are in the lineup not hitting their weight and McCann (hitting .350) is on the bench. Kind of makes you wonder if this team is losing on purpose.
  8. I would call Rutherford absolutely nothing now. Rutherford has no future with the White Sox, none. I doubt if he even makes it to the Big Leagues. They say it takes 2-3 years to judge a trade. The Robertson trade was another of Hahns bad trades.
  9. Some of the things done by Hahn have baffled me for as long as he has been the GM. In 2017 he traded David Robertson for absolutely nothing. Steve Stone said the trade was done for some salary relief. Hahn will then turnaround and spend millions of dollars on bums like Jay and Alonso.
  10. This is the last year on Stones contract. Rumor has it that AJ Pierzynski will be his replacement if Stone decides to retire after this season.
  11. You're right, there is nothing to get excited about pitching wise. I think its insane that Cease hasn't been brought up. He would be on virtually every MLB team now. He's the only White Sox pitcher now who you could get anything for in a trade. You couldn't get a decent return for any of the other starting pitchers on the team and Hahn won't bring Cease up. This tanking/losing on purpose is really bad.
  12. If Hahns kid is on this site and is willing to give his father some valuable insights, here's another one. Have his father resign immediately.
  13. Keep in mind that Hahn gave a 34 year old Adam LaRoche a 2 year $24 million dollar contract. Why not give a 32 year old Abreu the same 2 year contract?
  14. I've written letters to JR for years and I always received a response from him. But when I wrote him a letter requesting to be interviewed for the White Sox Gm job, I didn't receive any response from him. Maybe he's keeping my letter on file and he will eventually get back to me. I'm still open to being the White Sox GM. If I become the White Sox GM , I promise all White Sox fans the greatest fun ride in modern White Sox history. I WILL MAKE THE WHITE SOX GREAT AGAIN!!!!
  15. I wouldn't be surprised to see Hahn replace Frare with Carson Fulmer again.
  16. Frare and Minaya were called up. So much for Cease being called up. The White Sox will continue to go with the same starting rotation that has a ERA of 6.40
  17. After last nights good crowd of over 30,000 the White Sox are now 21st out of 30 teams in MLB attendance. I'm not complaining about the White Sox attendance. Considering how bad the team has been since 2013, I don't think anybody can criticize the attendance. Looking at the attendance numbers of the 30 teams it doesn't take much to see that attendance is down in MLB. There are simply too many teams tanking/losing on purpose. MLB executive Tony Clark mentioned this recently also. MLB is going to have to do something about this tanking/losing on purpose. There are too many teams going into the season with no hope of getting into the Playoffs.
  18. Abreu is a free agent at the end of this season. I can't help but wonder if he takes a look at this dismal situation and decides to sign with another team in the off season. I couldn't blame him if he wanted to go somewhere where they have a chance to go to the playoffs.
  19. Why Covey instead of Cease? Is Hahn trying to lose on purpose?
  20. Interesting comments by the White Sox TV announcers during the game. Jose Ruiz (of the 6.75 ERA) was struggling as usual when they both said that Ruiz has the type of arm/fastball where he can be developed at his level by Cooper. Is there anybody who would rather see Ruiz than Cease at this level being developed?
  21. The bad thing about Sportsvision was it was introduced before the Chicagoland area was wired for cable. You had to buy a box and pay a monthly fee for only one TV channel. The Sportsvision fiasco was really the idea of Einhorn. I always thought the failure of Sportsvision wounded Einhorn. Einhorn was the one who really wanted to move the White Sox to Florida. When the White Sox agreed to stay in Chicago Einhorn sold most of his shares of the White Sox to JR and he left the scene after that.
  22. This Sunday is family Sunday at the park. The weather is going to be in the 70s. The World Champion Red Sox are the opponents. This would be the perfect day to pitch Cease. You would have a tremendous walkup crowd. You would easily have 30,000 people there. Instead Covey is starting the game.
  23. Simple. Its called tanking/losing on purpose. Cease would be pitching for virtually every MLB team now.
  24. Hahn has one of the best deals going in MLB/Sports. He has teams that lose year after year and he keeps his job.
  25. Keep in mind that Forbes magazine said a few weeks ago that the White Sox were the 6th most profitable team in MLB in 2018. So you're right, they are not moving. Unfortunately as long as this team remains very profitable, JR is not selling the team.
