  1. Simple. This is called losing on purpose, tanking while the owner is laughing all the way to the bank.
  2. JR has said for many years that it is more profitable owning a MLB team with a low payroll. I get that and I get the fact that baseball is a business and your objective with that business is to make money. Still, how much money is enough for JR. Forbes Magazine has pointed out that JR is a billionaire. How much more money does he need? I've said before that this rebuild/tanking is going to be done as cheaply as possible. If it works fine. If it doesn't, it doesn't. JR will just keep making more and more money. He should be ashamed to put out a team as bad as the White Sox have been for years now. Obviously he doesn't care. There weren't too many White Sox fans who shed a tear when Bill Veeck sold the team. Sometime, somewhere, someday JR will sell the White Sox and there won't be any tears shed when a new owner comes in. I'm still hoping he sells the team sooner rather than later.

    What Now?

JR always responded to my letters over the years. He didn't respond to the letter I wrote him requesting to be interviewed for the White Sox GM job. He made a mistake in not interviewing me. The White Sox would be a better team today if I was the GM. I thought that I was the perfect fit for the job. I like to think I know more about baseball than Hahn and I wouldn't have to be paid to much. I don't need the money. Everybody would have been better off if I was the GM.

    What Now?

This 2019 season is starting to look like one of the worse seasons in White Sox history. I would like to think something will be done to try and change this. Some people (including myself) would love to see new ownership. Others would like to see Hahn and Renteria gone. It doesn't look like any of that will happen. I would think that Dylan Cease will be called up soon. This starting pitching staff can't get anybody out. I don't see the harm of bringing up Cease. If he is called up and succeeds in getting people out, you keep him up here. Nobody else can get anybody out, I say bring him up.
  5. I will say the following for the last time 1) Low White Sox payrolls equals more moola for JR and his investors. 2) This rebuild/tanking will be done as cheaply as possible.
  6. This is the 7th year of the Rick Hahn Dynasty. I never thought for one minute that the White Sox would sign Harper or Machado. I wasn't the least bit upset when they signed elsewhere. This team is never going to spend $300 million on any player. I did think that Hahn would upgrade the pitching staff. He did upgrade the back of the bullpen. He did nothing to improve the starting pitching. This starting rotation could go down in history as the worse in franchise history. I can't help but wonder, is Hahn this incompetent/stupid ? or is he trying to lose as many games as possible with the hope of getting a high draft choice?
  7. The forecast is really bad for the White Sox home opener. I hope they postpone it before Thursday. The forecast is much better for Friday. They would have a better walk up crowd Friday instead of Thursday. There are thousands of unsold seats for Opening Day. They would have a better crowd Friday with the better weather.
  8. 1) There are thousands of unsold tickets for Opening Day. I wonder if the attendance will be less than 30,000. 2) Has anybody noticed that WGN radio doesn't take phone calls on the post game show? I honestly think they're afraid of taking calls from the White Sox fans.
  9. The plan is very simple. This rebuild/tanking is going to be done as cheaply as possible. The Royals went to the World Series twice and they went there cheaply. This ownership is never going to pay $300/$400 million dollars for any free agent. Hopefully the young players like Moncada, Anderson, Jimenez all turn out well and lead the White Sox to the Playoffs/World Series.
  10. Big win. There is no doubt in my mind that this is the start of great things. This team is Playoff Bound in this 2019 season.
  11. This is going to be one of the greatest seasons in the history of the White Sox franchise. This team is Playoff bound this 2019 season!!!!
  12. The sky is going to be blue and the weather warm tomorrow in KC. The rain will hold off until later. The game will be played. The game will be the start of a wonderful season as this team is Playoff bound.
  13. The so called Black Sox Scandal is a myth. The 8 members of the team were put on trial and were found not guilty. This is the USA. If your put on trial and found not guilty, you are innocent. They were banned from MLB by a ruthless new Commmisioner (Judge Landis) who wanted to make an example out of the 8 players. Landis was also a Cubs fan who hated the White Sox. He had no use for the White Sox, none. Landis could have banned Ty Cobb and Tris Speaker who were involved in fixing games and he did nothing to them. In 1932 the bad guys on the northside of Chicago fired there manager (Rogers Hornsby) because they thought he was throwing games because of his gambling habit. Landis looked the other way.
  14. 95-67. This team is going to score a ton of runs. The starting rotation will over achieve. The starting rotation will even be better after Giolito is no longer on the team and replaced by Cease. Bullpen is greatly improved. This should be a Playoff team this 2019 season. White Sox fans will be dancing in the streets this year.
  15. Its a shame that I've never been the White Sox GM. I'm still hoping to be interviewed for the job eventually. If I was ever as bad a GM as Hahn has been, I would hang my head in shame and walk out the door.
  16. Dan Straily was just released by the Marlins. I would much rather see him in the White Sox rotation than Giolito.
  17. If Epstein becomes the White Sox GM, I will not write JR a letter requesting to be interviewed for the White Sox GM job.
  18. Better yet, how about Fulmer, Giolito, Jay, Alonso AND Rick Hahn for Happ AND Theo Epstein.
  19. How about Jay, Alonzo, Fulmer and Giolito for Happ?
  20. I saw where the bad guys on the Northside just demoted Ian Happ to the minors. I'm told that Happ isn't to happy about being demoted. Obviously his team is not happy with him. The White Sox can't possibly be happy with Giolito. Why not trade Giolito to the bad guys for Happ?
  21. This off season has been a PR disaster. Signing Eloy to a long term contract has to be the best news for White Sox fans. Finally some positive news.
  22. I get the impression that Madrigal will be the White Sox 2nd baseman Opening Day 2020. Moncada might as well get use to 3rd base now. Besides, who else do the White Sox have in there system now who is a 3rd baseman?
  23. Madrigal is the White Sox second baseman of the future. And it might be real soon. That being the case, the move of Moncada to 3rd base makes sense.
  24. Cease is going to be brought up sometime in 2019. If Giolito keeps getting bombed and Cease does well in the minors, I would bring him up in a second.
