  1. There is an old saying, If you only support the team when they're winning you're not a real fan of the team.
  2. All I can say is The White Sox are coming, tra la, tra la!!!!
  3. The lineup of Benidenti, Moncada, Robert Jr, Eloy, Vaughn, Moncada and hopefully Montgomery will lead the team to the playoffs. This lineup is going to score alot of runs. It will be an exciting team and White Sox fans will be dancing in the streets once they're in the playoffs.
  4. The owners of the Rays agreed to pay over $600 million towards their new stadium. The owners of the A's agreed to pay over $400 million towards their new Vegas stadium. I would think by spending that much money they would be part owners of those stadiums. If JR gives millions of dollars towards the South Loop stadium I would like to think the stadium will be built.
  5. Art Allyn wanted to build a new White Sox stadium in 1967 at Roosevelt and Clark. He was going to pay for it. The City of Chicago (Mayor Daley) wouldn't give him the permits to build the stadium. s
  6. The attendance will start off bad at the beginning of the season. Then after the team starts winning the attendance will pickup. They might even draw over 2 million.
  7. I've been under the impression JR wants this deal done sometime this year. If that doesn't happen what will he do?
  8. I hope the new stadium gets built. This is where it should have been built the last time instead of Bridgeport. That being said, if its not built I wonder what JR will do? Will he try to extend the present lease? Or will he try to move the team out of state? Or do something else?
  9. If this stadium gets built I wouldn't think JR and his family would sell the team. The first few years of the stadium would be a goldmine for the owners. If anything they might sell the team a few years after the stadium is opened.
  10. I agree with you. The new stadium would be a great thing for the White Sox franchise.
  11. If what you're saying is true about the White Sox putting up $600-$700 million, I would think the deal will get done.
  12. There's an old saying, if you're only a fan of a team when their winning, you're not a real fan of the team.
  13. Eloy said earlier that he 's going to hit 40 home runs this year. If he plays 150 games and hits 40 home runs its going to be a great year for the team.
  14. I'm just wondering. If the stadium was built and nothing else, what would it cost for just a new stadium?. I'm assuming the billion dollars being asked for is for the total project. I haven't read what the cost of the new stadium would be.
  15. 10% seems a bit low. Cities wouldn't be building these stadiums if they weren't making money. Portland has major plans on the table which would build a new baseball stadium and other buildings around it.
  16. JR ruined the present stadium with the upper deck that everybody has hated from the beginning. I hope he stays out of the stadium design business with the new stadium.
  17. One of the reasons why I'm a season ticket holder is because of the parking at the present stadium. I buy a season ticket parking package and it comes out to $18.00 a game for parking. Getting in and out of the parking lot is very easy. It has to be one of the best parking situations in MLB. I would assume and hope that parking lots will be built at the new stadium.
  18. You've mentioned recently that you expect a good year from Benedenti. If he bounces back with good years from Moncada, Eloy and Kopech this team could be good. The bullpen scares me but lets see how that plays out.
  19. Eloy, Kopech and Moncada are all going to have real good 2024 seasons. This should help lead the team into playoff contention.
  20. Keep Cease and have him lead the team into the 2024 playoffs.
  21. I hope you're right about them not moving. Keep in mind they almost moved to Florida. Governor Thompson saved the White Sox for Chicago. If it wasn't for Thompson they would have moved.
  22. They won't move to Nashville but what about moving to Portland? Portland recently came out with plans to build a MLB stadium with all the buildings around the stadium. If that actually happens Portland will get a team one way or another.
  23. I get the impression that the new stadium will be built in the South Loop. Nobody seems to be talking about this but what happens if the new stadium is not built? Will the White Sox stay at the present stadium? Or will JR try to move the team out of state?
  24. Its going to be a great year on the Southside of Chicago!!!! I'm looking forward to Opening Day.
