  13. QUOTE (BlackSox13 @ Sep 6, 2017 -> 08:44 AM) Well done sir. Likewise my good man.
  14. QUOTE (SCCWS @ Sep 6, 2017 -> 08:31 AM) What is the cost to park for a White Sox game???I know Boston is approx $40 for baseball and Patriots in suburbs is also $40. $20 Mon-Sat, $10 on Sundays (Family Sundays). Definitely the cheapest of the Chicago professional teams.
  15. QUOTE (greg775 @ Sep 5, 2017 -> 06:33 PM) You are definitely the man, Lip Man, but I hate to see JR make a ton of money on teams this bad. Aren't you offended that he and his partners get all this $$$ while the fan has to pay 8 or 9 bucks, whatever it is for a hot dog and whatever it is for parking? I think Jerry should feel the pain of a rebuild as well as the fans. I'd hate a $15 million payroll knowing JR gets all that profit. I think throughout his tenure there could be an argument he is cheap. I'm amazed so many fans seem to think the lower the payroll the better. It's like any significant contract is scorned right now during the rebuild. The Sox aren't moving as we have discussed ad nauseum so why shouldn't the Sox owner make less profit and have a high payroll to go with the Robert signing? Jerry should buy you frugal people a few drinks at least this offseason. He should meet you in the bar and thank u for your position. I'm serious by the way. A lot of cities would run an owner out of town for not having a high payroll in a city as big as Chicago. STOP
  16. QUOTE (Jose Abreu @ Aug 21, 2017 -> 04:02 PM) It's safe to say the league has figured him out. DFA him. DFA-worthy for sure.
  17. Chicago White Sox @whitesox now RHP Lucas Giolito will join the White Sox on Monday and make his debut as a starter during the doubleheader vs. Minnesota. Chicago White Sox @whitesox now RHP Michael Kopech will be promoted to Class AAA Charlotte and make his Knights debut on Monday night at Norfolk.
  18. Dan Hayes @CSNHayes Eloy Jimenez and Zack Collins are both being promoted from Double-A Birmingham from Single-A Winston-Salem. #WhiteSox BOOM
  19. It's a bit, his usual tired and old bit. Saying the prospects are "can't miss" and going to all be stars when we know in reality (he does too, he's just being extremely sarcastic) that that's just not the case. This thread has been gregged, like several other casualties in the past, he came in here and gregged the place up, adding nothing of substance to what was supposed to be a real discussion. Any chance at real discussion gets sidetracked by blatant buffoonery on a pretty regular basis, and in all honesty, it brings the quality of the board down with the constant foolishness. Posters are actually taking time to try and explain real points to someone with no interest of listening, while he's just beating the drum of a broken system. I guess to him, attempting to go for it and failing (essentially the last 10 years) and finishing middle of the pack every year is apparently better than building from the ground up by design (while getting potentially high impact talent at the same time). He's just trolling, despite the urge, try not to feed it. I know it will keep happening, because that's where he gets his jollies. He was "supposed to" stop acting like this, per his own post, but yet here we are running the same drill over and over again. The Sox aren't doing what he wants them to do so he's pouting and ruining it (or trying to ruin it) for everyone else.
  20. QUOTE (Quin @ Aug 10, 2017 -> 01:11 PM) Interesting. What was the exact quote?
  21. QUOTE (elrockinMT @ Aug 10, 2017 -> 12:48 PM) Did Hahn say anything interesting? Was asked about Sept call-ups and said they hadn't really discussed anyone specifically yet, but did mention that Giolito has done what they asked. Possibly we'll see him in Sept (speculation on my part here, RH didn't say that)? He also mentioned Jose Abreu is great, despite ron883's wishes of him being DFA-worthy.
  22. QUOTE (greg775 @ Aug 9, 2017 -> 01:02 PM) That's why I don't care about prospects and why I get excited when a guy like Davidson actually shows promise on a big league diamond. I'm totally outnumbered though, as prospects and the mystery of the future are sexy. And even though a guy like Davidson had some incredible moments this season and was headed for 30 home runs before he got hurt, he's considered a bum because his advanced stats suck. No mention of the fact he might improve and be able to build on a 30 home run season. I truly hope you rebuild people are correct and our organization dominates the AL for years to come. Chicks (and Greg) dig the longball.
  23. QUOTE (pittshoganerkoff @ Aug 9, 2017 -> 01:00 PM) Are they wearing these during a game this weekend? No, the weekend of Aug 25-27 (home series vs DET).
  24. Scott Merkin @scottmerkin 8s Rick Hahn said Luis Robert will finish the season in the DSL and then go through Instructional League action there.
  25. Chicago White Sox @whitesox now Avi (thumb) has been sent to Charlotte on a rehab assignment.
