QUOTE (greg775 @ Jun 28, 2017 -> 12:39 PM) I like the Robert signing. That's not really rebuilding however. I consider it more free agency. You see a guy. You sign a guy. That to me is great. However it was alarming to read the ESPN.com Magazine article on the Cuban players and so so many are busts. I don't consider a signing of a Cuban player as part of any rebuild. This losing and tanking for draft picks and trades are the crucial rebuild mechanisms. We've signed Cuban players before and didn't call it part of any rebuild. So far this rebuild has given us a horrible season this season and a GM who for some reason didn't complete his blockbuster trades of Q and Robertson last winter. He has two trades to make this season as this so called rebuild continues. Let's see who he gets for Q and Robertson. I am glad four of us gave the rebuild a 2 thus far. I guess I could start patting Hahn on the back if Moncada comes up and looks like the superstar he supposedly is. I also was high high high on Anderson at one time, but everybody has limits. I finally got sick of low on base percentage and inability to take a walk. He did have a few walks in June and now has nine which is lending some hope. He did have a good on base percentage his last year of AA so maybe ... Glad to see the hat style changed this week.

QUOTE (bmags @ Jun 26, 2017 -> 01:26 PM) Totally. His face looks like a video game character. And now having checked the scoreboard it's looking like the game may not be streamed online

QUOTE (witesoxfan @ Jun 23, 2017 -> 03:29 PM) I don't understand why you keep saying "stat lovers." How do you tell how good a baseball player is? By how well they wear their uniform? If they wear high socks/stirrups = All Star, pants down to ankles = AAAA -

QUOTE (greg775 @ Jun 22, 2017 -> 02:06 PM) The Cubs and Astros had everything that could go wrong go right. Everything. I am kind of upset the statniks are out there supporting the alleged snails pace rebuild. Their enjoyment of the so called rebuild takes our miserable front office (KW) off the hook for being unable to put together a division title contending team despite the presence of a handful of incredibly good players on the roster year after year. They wasted my time and yours with Robin at the helm for gawd sakes. TOTAL WASTE OF YEARS. We've had great closers. We've had Sale. We've had Abreu. We've had a decent to good nucleus that with the proper tinkering could have given us nirvana baseball the past 10 years. But nooooo. Oh well I can dream of Ozzie and the 05 team as I wait on this rebuild. p.s. Fulmer and Rodon better be great or the alleged rebuild takes a hit early on. The bolded makes me laugh every time I see it on one of your posts. Does this come custom fitted or is it adjustable?

QUOTE (ptatc @ Jun 22, 2017 -> 02:04 PM) Powerhouse? The cubs are barely a .500 team. /green Yes currently they are, but I believe that they're referring to them winning the World Series last year (in case you forgot), making a deep run in 2015 when the expectations weren't that high at all. They still have a very talented roster but have played very poorly (World Series hangover or whatever you want to call it). Damn just noticed the /green, you got me!

QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Jun 16, 2017 -> 02:07 PM) Won't that break the All-Time record for most MLB teams played for? It won't, he was on the Nats in 2012, so he'd still be at 12. -

QUOTE (hi8is @ Jun 14, 2017 -> 12:50 PM) I'm currently listening. Says on Sheets that he was surprised that he was there for us at pick 47. Says that we may have the best value pick out of round 7 for a guy that he had as a round 2 pick. Thinks our second day over all was the second best draft, first being the Twins. Not directly related to the draft but he also says Robert would have been considered for 1-1 and is comparable to Lewis. Thanks for sharing! I'm excited to give it a listen here after the draft wraps up. -

QUOTE (steveno89 @ Jun 12, 2017 -> 11:26 AM) No way Rooker lasts until our second round pick. I actually suspect he could go late first round. He put up monster numbers in the SEC this season. It's my pipedream picks but holding out hope that one (if not both) will slip.
