  1. Someone from the Guardians player development?
  2. In a very sick way I'm kind of rooting for them to lose out the rest of the month and have it dip into the Twins series. I want to see how long they'll just let losses pile up before making some sort of change, like what is their breaking point?
  3. Both Kenny and Rick dangling the "we might be fired" carrot to the media the last couple days seems fishy to me.
  4. If any organization could coach him up in both regards, the Dodgers would be at the top of the list. I'd guess the attitude would change for the better going from this clown show to a legitimate organization.
  5. It's been a slower month but not .568 OPS slow.
  6. Oblique, end of April was the initial time frame mentioned by Fegan, and he's on Winston's 7-day IL at the moment so I'd guess he'll start there.
  7. Why isn't this pinned to the first page yet?
  8. Not handing out a bunch of free passes is a nice improvement for Thompson considering his last couple starts.
  9. JR wanting to win "his way" validates what many of us have felt for a long time, which is that winning isn't and hasn't been important and is a secondary perk if it actually does happen.
  10. Looks like both ACL & DSL started June 6th last year, guessing the 5th or so this year.
  11. I'd much rather know they blow earlier than the will they/won't they crap they did last year.
  12. I knew someone that worked in the ticket office and quit midway through '21 because they just kept bombarding them with work and stopped offering any help to the reps that were still on board. Needless to say, he didnt give a glowing impression of the operation once he left. Even this year I had a rep call me about a ticket plan, only to quit a week later and pass it off to someone else. My interpretation is that retention is tough and it seems to be a thinner operation than what you'd expect on the ticketing side.
  13. Mario Camilletti, the Italian God of Walks
  14. The Sox affiliates have seemingly been moving guys there a lot, maybe it's to circumvent the roster rules per team?
  15. Vera apparently placed on the IL
  16. I'll always be a fan and love going to games in person, but I've grown quite disconnected from the viewing angle since the early going of last year. The TLR stuff, injuries, and general vibes from the team/org really sucked the life out of me in that regard and there are other ways I'd rather spend my time. I still follow and watch the minors extremely closely since I'm a nerd in that regard so that's how I get my baseball fix. While the quality of play is obviously lesser, watching guys progress and develop has become a point of enjoyment. Having two young kids helps keep me occupied most nights but has definitely shifted my priorities and perspective surrounding fandom. I guess I finally came to the conclusion that this organization, as currently constructed, is riddled with incompetence, which is seemingly ok with the man in charge, and I'd just rather not spend a lot of time worrying and complaining about stuff beyond my control (outside of a periodic venting session). I love the team and always will, but my unhappiness with ownership/leadership is starting to outpace the love.
  17. Jimmy Lambert erasure, but otherwise...woof.
  18. He got in a handful of games at second between 21 and 22, but the idea seems like it was abandoned rather quickly.
  19. I'd like to see him get at least a half seasons worth of games in Birmingham this year, if not more.
