  1. He's been on the Winston IL all season long apparently.
  2. Very true, but he's also been young for each level he's been at. I don't know how successful he would be if promoted from Birmingham to the Sox, but I'm confident he could match Harrison's measly production.
  3. Sosa now 4-5, .374 AVG and a 1.052 OPS.
  4. Yeah my thoughts exactly. They could do the conservative approach and send Yolbert to Chicago and have Lenyn take his spot in Charlotte, which I think is more likely to happen. It's very possible they use him in a trade, but I'd have some pause in that regard because guys don't normally hit like that in Birmingham, DUDES hit like that in Birmingham. Yoelqui just homered as well.
  5. And right on cue Sosa homers
  6. Although I don't believe this would actually happen, assuming Harrison doesn't hit and is let go, it would be super ballsy if the Sox promoted Lenyn from B'ham to try and tackle 2B. He would need to be added to the 40-man this offseason anyways if they wanted to keep him around.
  7. yeah, so not really sure what's up but I imagine it can't be great.
  8. He was named in the Vizquel lawsuit and was the only person that was still with the org.
  9. I think Katz has done a good job, but I understand where you're coming from. I'd can everyone else besides him, but of course that won't happen.
  10. Sosa has really broken out in a big way so far this year. He's always been aggressively pushed for his age and has held his own at every level until he got his first taste of AA last season (which I can understand). He's been a very pleasant surprise this year.
  11. Everyone's favorite Hector is back with a scoop
  12. Although he's just an org guy, I think Tyler Neslony deserves a promotion to Charlotte. Dude has been raking ever since joining the org last season.
  13. It also doesn't help that the players weren't allowed to play in professional baseball games on the normal schedule because of the lockout.
  14. Colliton only got canned after the GM that decided he was his guy and thrust him into the head coaches role "stepped down" bc of the scandal and was no longer there to protect his handpicked guy. Colliton hadn't deserved to be on the job for a while before that, and the extension he got was nonsensical.
  15. I imagine JR wouldn't want/let him do so after making them hire & sign him to a multi-year deal in the first place.
  16. The transactions page shows that Bailey was placed on the IL on 4/8, but that doesn't make sense because he played from 4/8-14, so maybe they have the wrong date listed? FWIW, he wasn't listed on the bench in the box score for the game tonight either.
