  1. I don’t think it was intimidation at all. It is still a net positive for the Sox if CLE wins today and the Sox lose. Sox win yesterday/lose Friday >>> Sox lose yesterday/win Friday, regardless of whether or not CLE wins Friday.
  2. I went to the game yesterday. For some reason, I had a feeling that Giolito would have a good game. Spare crowd, and my first time seeing that strange LF configuration, the anti-Aaron Judge/Vlad Guerrero setup. I left after the top 7th with the score 3-1, feeling confident. Of course, I missed the biggest play of the game but Kasper captured the moment on radio as I was driving home. Kudos to Sheets in a homecoming game for him.
  3. That bunt is yet another example of why I’m generally not anti-bunt or anti-hit to beat the shift.
  4. As a general proponent of squeeze bunts, I can go along with this.
  5. That is a well-reasoned and measured response. Are you sure you’re in the right place?
  6. Sometimes during Baltimore vs. Nats series they will have the Nats’ PBP team with the O’s color man and vice-versa, or the regular crews alternate innings of the same game.
  7. Hey, if a 3-game losing streak is cause for concern, then a 5-game winning streak should erase that concern, right?
  8. Another solid win. Sox spotted them a run in the 1st but Tampa returned the favor later, so Jose’s 2-run HR and solid relief pitching was the difference. So far Ruiz looks like a better pitcher. Don’t remember him having an effective change up before; did he?
