  1. Big inning here with the middle of the order coming up and 3rd time through the order.
  2. 3 walks for Lawrie! Did he more than double his season total today?
  3. QUOTE (Alexeihyeess @ Apr 20, 2016 -> 02:56 PM) I've been hard on Frazier, but I gotta give him credit. That was wily. Yeah that was great baserunning.
  4. Another efficient inning. Go 8 and then let Robertson finish it.
  5. The throw beat him by a mile but that was a very lazy tag by Simmons. He was safe.
  6. Looked like Lawrie beat the tag, why not challenge that?
  7. That was a fantastic throw by Avila! Trout got a great jump.
  8. Does getting to first on a dropped third strike raise your OBP?
  9. At the very least, he's an excellent utility player. Those guys are valuable.
  10. Saladino with the classic batting average better than OBP stat line.
  11. Let's get some runs so Sale doesn't have to pitch a shutout again.
  12. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Apr 20, 2016 -> 01:45 PM) Yeah, Garcia has 75 to 80 speed. Sanchez is above average, but no where near that. Probably 60 to 65. Fangraphs has Sanchez at 50 speed.
  13. QUOTE (raBBit @ Apr 20, 2016 -> 01:35 PM) This is definitively false. Garcia has elite speed. Sanchez has played in a 148 games in the MLB. That's basically a typical full season sample. He has 3 SBs and 3 CSs in his career in the bigs. Garcia, who doesn't even fulfill all of his base stealing potential, has stolen 191 bags in minors and is 19/22 as a big leaguer. Yeah Sanchez is nowhere near as fast as Garcia.
  14. QUOTE (Jose Abreu @ Apr 20, 2016 -> 01:24 PM) I'm not watching, are you saying Eaton was safe? On the foul ball before the out, Eaton hit a bouncing grounder down the left field line, it landed in foul territory but looked like it may have gone over the bag before going into foul territory. I couldn't tell, it was pretty close, but the ump wasn't even looking. Took away a potential double.
  15. QUOTE (SouthSideSale @ Apr 20, 2016 -> 12:04 PM) I just don't see it with Robin and some of the young players. I would've pulled Avi after that first awful AB and put in Sands. Maybe it doesn't work but it would've sent a message to Avi that his awful ABs and approach won't be tolerated. Avi should have been gone long ago, but to be fair if LaRoche hadn't retired I'm sure he would be getting limited playing time right now, they tried to replace him all winter, and all the current options to replace him are likely to be as bad as he is (though I do support putting Sands above him on the depth chart at least). What other young players weren't held accountable? As for Robin, meh, managers are just scapegoats. He's not been the problem.
  16. QUOTE (SouthSideSale @ Apr 20, 2016 -> 11:18 AM) It's just because Abreu needs a break from fielding for a day and Sands can play first. There's no accountability here so it's not disciplinary reasons I see this said a lot but where did this come from? Why is there no accountability here?
  17. This thread blows. Pretty much everything about Frazier is the same as his career numbers from line drive rate to walk rate, except for a slightly higher K rate and a BABIP 100 points below his career average. He's a decent week away from his numbers being back to what we would expect.
