  1. QUOTE (SouthSideSale @ Apr 9, 2016 -> 02:44 PM) Time for the offense to pick him up. He's pitched fine after a shaky start. Left that one too much over the plate and Napoli put a good swing on it That pitch was outside, Napoli just got a good swing on it.
  2. 92 mph fastball and then 96 mph fastball. Great sequence there by Sale.
  3. Should have figured a guy who grew up in Florida would have trouble pitching in this weather.
  4. QUOTE (soxfan2014 @ Apr 8, 2016 -> 01:18 PM) Where at? Yeah I'm curious too, still sunny in Des Plaines.
  5. QUOTE (JUSTgottaBELIEVE @ Apr 8, 2016 -> 12:32 PM) if ligament tear in knee that requires surgery, he gone for 2016 If that is the case are his catching days pretty much done?
  6. Calling it right now, Danks finishes the season with an ERA around 4.20-4.30, and we're more happy than disappointed with him this year. His 2nd half last year was no fluke.
  7. Hell even Avi had a decent game in the field. Shout out to Lawrie for two great plays.
  8. It feels like there's a world of difference between 3-1 and 2-2. Great win.
  9. Winner! Nice to see the Sox pick up where they left off against the ALW last year.
  10. Surprised Hendriks hasn't been pulled yet, but their bullpen has pitched a lot this series.
  11. QUOTE (chitownsportsfan @ Apr 7, 2016 -> 05:25 PM) Let me say right now I'm against going with Putnam unless they get another one. Why? I'd rather not waste Robertson on a 4-run lead with no offday tomorrow.
  12. Nice! I wanted to see Putnam in the 9th, this seals it.
  13. QUOTE (TitoMB @ Apr 7, 2016 -> 04:49 PM) *immediately follows hustle double with a pick-off* Heh heh, just trying to make a point that there's more to baserunning than stealing bases.
  14. After that article in Fangraphs today I'm feeling more confident in Danks. After Sale, he allowed the weakest contact of all SP in the ALC last year.
  15. QUOTE (Tony @ Apr 7, 2016 -> 04:18 PM) If he knows how to pitch like that, then whatever works. I don't think his stuff has looked good at all, and lets all remember the offense the Sox are facing today, but whatever works. His stuff hasn't looked great, but if he keep the ball low, get his curve over and switch speeds the way he did today I'll take it.
