QUOTE (pettie4sox @ May 24, 2016 -> 08:23 PM) 6-0 vs the twins... haha Eeeek...forgot about those clowns...let's keep it to the competitive teams -
QUOTE (fathom @ May 24, 2016 -> 08:23 PM) Oops Yep, Sale has been fantastic and I am a huge fan. But, I honestly don't think Arrieta will ever get lit up this season like Sale did tonight.

It seems like we can never win a damn series against a Central opponent. Kind of need those to win the division. -

Pretty sad when it is the top of the 4th, you are the home team, only down by three...and you feel like the damn game is over because of your anemic offense. -

QUOTE (BigHurt3515 @ May 23, 2016 -> 10:21 PM) He is a great utility guy. He shouldn't be a starter for long with Anderson coming up but he is the best option at SS that is on the MLB roster right now Yeah, just a "utility" guy. Unfortunately, some fans are getting a little tired of those "utility" guys in their starting lineup. Like you said, hopefully he can revert to that role and Anderson can be a legit starter for us. -

Saladino will be one of those guys that is never very good. However, he will have 9 lives with the White Sox...just feels like one of those "guys." Gotta load 'em up for Abreu so he can jam himself one last time tonight. -

QUOTE (Real @ May 21, 2016 -> 04:21 PM) One bat isn't gonna fix this. Besides we all know they would just turn around and be awful once they put on a sox jersey. That's for sure. It is an unexplainable phenomenon. It must be that lax, family atmosphere we are promoting. One with no consequences and no accountability. -

What is going to be fun is watching Davis blow through the bottom of our batting order in the 9th. -

QUOTE (EvilJester99 @ May 20, 2016 -> 10:17 PM) Went to Dave Matthews tonight and glad I missed this suckage... No big deal, you would have just seen a re-run. The same offensive struggles you have seen the past few seasons. This was the episode where a Bozo shut down our offense. I hate that episode. It is always on. -

QUOTE (caulfield12 @ May 20, 2016 -> 10:10 PM) Just 2 hits since the 4th inning (would have been nice if Sanchez could have had that hit in the last week when we really need one). White Sox fans should get a refund. And of course the Cubs are destroying the Giants. Perfectly crappy night that started out so promisingly in Boston. Ton of called 3rd strikes tonight for someone with such pedestrian stuff. Gotta love Peavy. That guy is a damn corpse. They have another corpse going tomorrow in Cain as well. -
Ok, it was the "easiest" call of a bounce back season ever, I get it. I was just expressing how it was too damn bad that he sucked with the White Sox, that's all.. It would have been nice to see him succeed here, even though we seem to have the knack for players to come here and perform below their career norms. If he wouldn't have sucked with the White Sox, there wouldn't have been the need for him to have a "bounce back" season. My Lord, I didn't know that by joining this site that I would be among so many future GM's and Front Office personnel. And when I was reading this board last season, I surely didn't see anybody here say "oh, this is just an off year...he will bounce back next season." The VAST majority of people here kept saying "Shark sucks", "Shark is the most overrated pitcher in baseball", "Shark has had one good season," etc., etc., etc. It is much easier to talk about how easy his bounce back season was to predict after the fact, that is for sure.

QUOTE (caulfield12 @ May 19, 2016 -> 10:03 PM) Well, if he was pitching for the White Sox this season, it would be on a $90-100 million contract, because the only way he was signing with us was doing it at some point in the first 3-4 months of 2015. Shark's deal would subtract most of the leftover flexibility for adding a platoon LH bat, a starting pitcher and a reliever. Yeah, that is completely true. However, if he would have had the kind of year that was expected of him last season, and the team would have been good and went to the postseason, the additional revenue might have been there (or at least the excitement to get something done). Then, we wouldn't need that extra starting pitcher right now. Instead, he stunk up the joint (along with the whole damn team) and neither of those things occurred. It was just disappointing to see him fail so miserably in a White Sox uniform, especially since he is having a very solid season thus far. It is too bad the personalities just didn't mesh between him and the White Sox organization.

QUOTE (OmarComing25 @ May 19, 2016 -> 09:58 PM) Given limited resources, I'd rather get a pitcher than a bat (though ideally both would be nice). Outside the last two games, the offense has been pretty good. Averaging over 5 runs a game since mid-April, still scored a bunch of runs over the 1-6 stretch. I just have a weird feeling that the Hahn is going to try and get "both" in a packaged deal. -

QUOTE (pettie4sox @ May 19, 2016 -> 09:27 PM) This team desperately needs a bat. Like really bad. You think Jay Bruce would perform well in the AL? Just a bit weary after Dunn and LaDunn. -
Jeff is having a heck of a year thus far. Was Coop really the problem here (as some, as well as Coop himself has stated)? It is just disappointing that he did not perform like this for him hometown team. Could have used it last season and definitely this season.

QUOTE (SouthSideSale @ May 19, 2016 -> 09:33 PM) That would be intriguing. He'd also bring that bulldog championship mentality we need. He instilled it into the Royals. I'd love to go bigger though. We have a chance to make it to the World Series. We need another starter, reliever and an impact bat. Shields is definitely intriguing. But what about that Jeff Samardzija guy he is going up against tonight, is he available? That guy is having a hell of a year thus far

QUOTE (BigHurt3515 @ May 19, 2016 -> 08:46 PM) I think we all knew that was going to happen Yep, especially after the Sanchez AB. You could feel the Abreu strikeout coming. I just didn't think it would be on 3 pitches. -

QUOTE (Deadpool @ May 19, 2016 -> 06:21 PM) You don't like that he's telling the truth? Clearly the truth upsets you. Give me a break, man. I never said he wasn't telling the truth.
