  1. QUOTE (South Side Fireworks Man @ Jul 2, 2016 -> 04:34 PM) Is Robin even reacting to any of this? He is high as a kite right now.
  2. Well, bases COULD be loaded. Eaton, Eaton, Eaton...sigh.
  3. Eaton has the baseball IQ of a gnat.
  4. QUOTE (South Side Fireworks Man @ Jul 2, 2016 -> 04:31 PM) Abreu gets a hit. Maybe this is where they turn it around. I thought for sure that was going to be a DP. Oh look, more stupid baseball by Eaton.
  5. QUOTE (SouthSideSale @ Jul 2, 2016 -> 04:21 PM) Shuck has 3 HRs...Avi has 5 Avi is such a clown, you can't even use that Bozo as trade bait...if they STILL plan on adding to the team...which I hope they don't.
  6. QUOTE (South Side Fireworks Man @ Jul 2, 2016 -> 04:18 PM) Do you really want to see this front office attempt a rebuild? Let JR sell the team first. GREAT point on that. That is the problem..this front office is so incompetent, it is very hard to trust them with any type of rebuild.
  7. QUOTE (SouthSideSale @ Jul 2, 2016 -> 04:13 PM) I've been banging the table about no accountability for awhile now. It's sickening. This is the dumbest a$$ team. I just turned on the game and already have seen a handful of garbage decisions, garbage plays, etc. Two innings in a row a guy getting thrown out at home, Avi with a pathetic throw, Sale misjudging the speed of the batter on a routine bunt...this team just sucks. Please just blow it up and rebuild. At least there would be some excitement with possible young talent coming in. My God, this organization and team is pathetic.
  8. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Jul 1, 2016 -> 09:39 PM) Look being the key point. Have you seen his numbers the last couple of years? Austin Jackson might have him beat. Anderson exactly at .300 now. 2 K's, keeping up his roughly 1:3 pace in that department. It would be worth having him just to hear Hawk raving about him
  9. QUOTE (pettie4sox @ Jul 1, 2016 -> 09:35 PM) That's Gomez, he's always doing stuff like that. Yep, "always" is correct. He has a mental problem. But, he would look nice in a Sox uniform next year
  10. QUOTE (daa84 @ Jul 1, 2016 -> 08:46 PM) so did anyone really think the Cubs pitching would really continue to be the best in the league Nope...Lackey, Hendricks, and Hammel will all regress in the second half. That being said, the Cubs are licking their chops for the Reds to come into town on Monday. They love 'em!
  11. The Cubs need some of that Cincinnati goodness to pad their individual offensive statistics, run differential and overall record. Lucky for them, the Reds triumphant return to Wrigley starts Monday with the untouchable Cody Reed scheduled to start. The Bud's will be a flowin', the fan's will be a singin', and the media will be a bobbin' on the nobbin' come the 4th of July. #Rentfree
  12. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Jun 29, 2016 -> 01:04 PM) IIRC the Mets are gonna be without Snydergaard and Matz because of bone spurs in both of their elbows Actually, Matz is scheduled to start tomorrow. Snydergaard not scheduled but there is a TBA for Sunday. Pitching well...that is another story...
  13. QUOTE (fathom @ Jun 29, 2016 -> 11:42 AM) 3 batters, 3 runs The best part of that 3 runs was the routine flyball by Rizzo which was misplayed by the LF and CF, hit Hamilton in the head, and rolled to the wall...allowing Rizzo to circle al the bases. LOL at the Reds, what a joke of a team. But, the Cubs are awesome and THEY'RE BACK!! Circle jerk time!! At least they have to play the Mets next. But wait, that series is followed by the Reds and Atlanta. Scary.
  14. QUOTE (fathom @ Jun 29, 2016 -> 12:37 AM) He managed a bad game tonight and got lucky zobrist caught that ball. I'm sure the media will kiss the ground he walks on because the last two innings While completely ignoring the fact that it took 15 innings to beat a horrendous team, and that they barely pulled one out against the same team the night before (after losing 6 of 7 the previous week to a couple teams over .500). If the past week showed me anything, it is that the Cubs are not invincible and can be beat by the teams that are .500 or above, especially if that team has some damn bats in the lineup instead of the minor league squads a lot of NL bottom feeders throw out there. Furthermore, if Arrieta keeps throwing the ball all over the place, they aren't winning anything. Oh and don't worry...I am sure they will beat up on "Cody Reed" today and the media will have a circle jerk about their sweep of Cincinnati. YEAH!!
  15. We need to add another NL Slugger to this team. That has worked out very well for us in the past.
  16. QUOTE (soxforlife05 @ Jun 18, 2016 -> 06:08 PM) B-b-but if you take away his bad starts he has a 3.06 ERA Yep, this is just a blip on the radar. He will get it back together...
  17. Has it gotten bad enough for me to utter the words "Go C*@s Go?!?"
  18. QUOTE (fathom @ Jun 18, 2016 -> 06:00 PM) This seems like the end. I think so as well. This is done.
  19. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Jun 18, 2016 -> 05:57 PM) Don Cooper has gotten more mileage out of fixing Matt Thornton than any coach in major league history has out of fixing one player. Yep, it is definitely time for him to go that is for sure.
  20. How the hell do any of these clowns have jobs? This is completely pathetic. This team and FO is hot garbage.
  21. QUOTE (hi8is @ Jun 18, 2016 -> 05:25 PM) LOL, GOD WE SUCK!!
  22. The Cubs success makes the White Sox completely irrelevant in this city. The White Sox look like a complete joke compared to them. I never, ever thought I would be able to say something like that, but the state of this organization is a complete joke compared to theirs at this time. And the future looks very bleak for us as well.
