QUOTE (caulfield12 @ May 31, 2016 -> 07:06 PM) Well, Gee's on the mound, so this is TB's best chance. That said, it's a different KC team playing with a ton of confidence after taking 2/3 from BOS (arguably the best team in the AL) and then rallying the last four consecutive games with late-inning heroics. I hear ya with that KC confidence...but man, who the hell are half those guys in the starting lineup now? You have to remember...they beat the White Sox 3 of those games. And after all, we are their bi***es

QUOTE (Soxfest @ May 31, 2016 -> 07:01 PM) I am just get tired of the Sox ALWAYS being the team pulling this nonsense year after year Absolutely...it is a bad re-run season after season. Same thing.

Better yet, Gonzalez vs. DeGrom tomorrow. Should be a doozy!! On the bright side, Cleveland is losing and hopefully that stands. Then, hopefully KC will lose and we will still only be 2 GB. YAY!! Pretty sad. I think this division is weak, too bad we aren't any good.

LOL Latos, fluke April and back to reality. Dumpster diving signing at it's finest. What a joke, how many more years of those kinds of moves and expecting to compete? Blow the darn thing up already.

Odds of not scoring a run this whole series?
-
Time to get our a**es kicked. We are going to get swept and be .500 after this series.

QUOTE (whitesoxjr27 @ May 31, 2016 -> 09:10 AM) Do not ask me how this always happens to me but i was at dairy queen waiting in line and there were two guys and a girl sitting at a table eating. Anyways, they were talking cubs and how "flawless" they are and how "flawless" they will be come playoff time. With all that is going on with the sox i wanted to scream. They are a fantastic team. In the playoffs, however, it is a whole different ballgame. No team is "flawless." They can be beaten, or they could win it all. But, they can be beaten. Especially by a team with a strong rotation. And no matter who they play, be it Washington (I don't care that they swept them...see the Cubs vs. the Mets last year in the regular season), the Mets, San Francisco...each one of those teams could beat them. Additionally, if they get by those teams, they still have to beat the AL team which will be no easy feat. Part of Cub fandom has always been to talk, talk, talk. It is just their culture, and very annoying. Additionally, they still have to get through over 110 games healthy. Somebody's arm blows out, shoulder goes haywire, etc. and it is a whole new ballgame. Anything can happen with that in the next 4 months. #rentfree

Robin Ventura sacrifice bunted with the 3 hitter in the 7th inning
soxfan85 replied to Buehrle>Wood's topic in Pale Hose Talk
Has it been confirmed that Ventura made this call or did Cabrera decide to do it on his own? Not to ruffle anybody's feathers, I just haven't heard who actually "made" this decision. Either way, it was garbage. But if it was Robin, just further evidence that he should be on his way out...taking the bat out of Cabrera's hands in that situation with a slumping Frazier on deck and a guy just called up in the hole. -
QUOTE (CaliSoxFanViaSWside @ May 30, 2016 -> 02:53 PM) The real question is will the Sox score any runs in the Mets series ? I wouldn't be surprised if they didn't. Might as well not get a run. Once again, it would prove how special we are.

QUOTE (Jose Abreu @ May 30, 2016 -> 02:57 PM) I hated the Rollins move from the start, and Jackson has actually been good lately, but yeah, Rollins needs to go. Yep, Jackson has. I really wish he had some power, though.

QUOTE (greg775 @ May 30, 2016 -> 02:47 PM) I know you were sarcastic, but I don't think there are any leaders in baseball anymore. Paulie never said anything when the Sox were in the midst of buffoon-like play. Rollins and all the anti-LaRoche guys haven't done squat to get the team back on the track. It's all bulls***. That said ... some starting pitchers in baseball do appear to be fierce bulldogs like Sale and Verlander. I think except for some pitchers who refuse to come out of games, it's all crap. Rollins is a joke. Lawrie? Frazier? None of these guys want to step on any toes, which is fine, but no longer call guys "leaders." Ballplayers just take care of themselves. Absolutely, man. I was being sarcastic. But, I did hear via media A LOT about his veteran leadership, etc. Hence, the sarcasm. However, it really upsets me that at the very end of free agency, guys like Desmond and Fowler were available. Two guys that REALLY could have helped with this team right now with their bats, etc.. Instead, we end up with Jackson and Rollins. Again, dumpster diving and expecting results. It gets tiring.

In a few days, this team is going to be below .500 I am in absolute shock that this has happened after a 23-10 start. This goes far beyond slumping, etc. There is a major, major issue with what is going on within this organization. There is no more "let's get 'em tomorrow, etc." It is time for major changes.

QUOTE (flavum @ May 30, 2016 -> 02:48 PM) And no excuse for what has happened over the last three weeks. This isn't regressing to the mean. It's bigger than that. Absolutely, great comment.

QUOTE (elrockinMT @ May 30, 2016 -> 02:47 PM) Bad call by umpire in that k They just suck. No excuses at this point.

This team sucks. What a great mirage at the beginning of the season.

I am so glad we got Rollins. His leadership is so valuable. http://m.mlb.com/news/article/180984112/ia...r-all-star-vote

QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ May 27, 2016 -> 10:01 PM) Our murderers row getting 2 runs of Davis should be easy. Hell yeah, this team is an offensive juggernaut!

QUOTE (fathom @ May 27, 2016 -> 09:58 PM) Love this tweet: C.S. Ramza @Ramza_2 5m5 minutes ago Robin Ventura is perplexed as to why Ned Yost didn't take out Herrera and bring in a lefty to face Adam Eaton. #WhiteSox
