  1. For the most part, the team has been losing since the all-star break in 2006. JR has not acted like he has cared all that much. Why should anything change?
  2. This team is completely boring. So is Steve Stone. Look for two more losses against the Cubs.
  3. Looks like one of Ozzie's Sunday lineups. Season can't get over fast enough.
  4. I hope the Sox continue to play Colas. He won't learn anything on the bench and is better than the other pretenders who have played right field.
  5. It's a strange way of wanting to win. You don't want to win that badly if you only want to prove a point and keep failing in the process.
  6. I agree with Great Scott. JR doesn't care anymore. If he is really "miserable" and wants the team to win, he would have taken some strong steps to turn the team around, and he would have done it years ago. If he wants to win, he should spend some money this offseason. If he doesn't, the Sox will just have another 90-loss season. So, I don't want to hear how much he wants to win. I don't believe it. Most fans don't believe it.
  7. I'd give Vaughn at least one more year. He might show something with a little time. What do the Sox have to lose? They're not going anywhere.
  8. Time to move on from Ozzie. He's entertaining on the post-game show, and that's a good place for him. He did a bad job in 2011, and the Marlins couldn't get rid of him fast enough. Ozzie is into being a celebrity. The team doesn't need that nonsense anymore. If the Sox replace Pedro, get an experienced man in there. Not an experienced, ex-Sox manager. Ozzie doesn't walk on water. Get someone else that has had no connection to the team.
  9. Even if fans boycott games, JR won't get the message. When fans stayed away after the White Flag Trade, he didn't get it. We fans didn't get it, and why couldn't we be more like Cub fans? We are in the middle of another rebuild unless the team does something dramatic in the off-season, and I doubt that. And I don't want to hear how great these prospects are rated. Not one can be considered great or even good until they prove themselves at the major league level. They say JR wants to win. I see no evidence of it.
  10. Dumb fight, but what was really embarrassing was Bummer completely losing his command with two out and no one on. The game shouldn't have been that close. And Shaw and Bummer coming out for second innings because the Sox have no one else in the pen. Also, the fight will not inspire anything. 90+ losses are on the way. Finally, the Sox will finish behind this unimpressive Cleveland team.
  11. Got a chance to see the JR segment when he said a third place or even fourth place finish can be a good season. What was worse was when he was talking about baseball economics. He spoke about having to please his shareholders which I think we all understand. However, from his tone, I got the impression that he thought it was almost impossible to have a winning team for a sustained period. There was an almost a resignation to it. Didn't exactly give me hope for the future, long or short-term.
  12. Stone has, in fact, done the complete opposite. He has become a spokesman for JR, and is giving fans a bunch of BS. Meanwhile, the team is going through the motions. At this point, there is little reason to watch the team. There's nothing to see no matter what Stone says. This is as depressing as it can get.
  13. I'm sick of watching Cease struggle with his location and then throw tantrums on the mound. Don't know what is happening with this guy, but the Sox don't have a rotation anymore. Can't they white flag the season and go home?
  14. Before you know it, it will be 2025, and it will be 20 years since the only WS win since 1917. But don't worry, Hahn has acquired a bunch of prospects that will be ready to play sometime after 2025. A couple of 100-loss seasons never hurt anyone.
  15. This team just keeps trying to sink to new lows. But the rebuild worked out just fine.
  16. Not in the near future. Perhaps never.
  17. I really can't grade this since I don't know anything about these first hand. I do know we are in the beginning of a new rebuild, and it will be a while before this team is winning again.
  18. Watching the White Sox today makes one realize how long it will be before they are a good team.
  19. The Sox are rebuilding again unless they spend some big money in the offseason, and I don't see them doing that.
  20. Retool, rebuild, or tank job. Whatever it is, I'm not buying into it. This team has no credibility.
  21. I have no problem trading Gio at this point, but yes, the team is rebuilding again. I am not buying into this nonsense again.
  22. All I have to say is who hired Grifol? And who always treats the manager's job as if it is not important and constantly hires inexperienced people?
  23. Yes, it is. I've been a fan for a long time and have bad memories of bad teams. But this is the worst situation. The absolute worst.
