  1. I didn't watch the press conference. What in the hell does this mean?
  2. Looking for positives is hard when the team stinks and they still have an unsolved shooting at the ballpark.
  3. Yes, there was an upside. But he didn't have command. Hitters were glaring at him because his 99+ fastball was getting close to their heads. He wasn't head-hunting; he just didn't have good control. Regardless, Kopech has been a part of the rebuild that hasn't worked out.
  4. I hated the way they treated Kopech from the start. They made him out to be the team's savior before he threw one pitch at the major league level. Years later, he still doesn't know how to pitch. If he is still in the rotation next season, you know more losing is on the way. Back to the rebuild. How about that new stadium?
  5. All the talk about a new stadium gets to me when I look at the condition of this team. Face it. The Sox have one great player --Robert. That's it. The pitching staff is a mess, and you have under-achieving on the left side of the infield. Screw JR and a new stadium. Get a real team first. Then JR can pay for his own stadium. But right now, this team is in worse shape than when the Reinsdorf-Einhorn group bought the team in 1981. Then JR said he needed a new stadium to compete. He got one. Then what we get? A strike. A White Flag Trade. Yeah, let's hope for a new stadium.
  6. The O's aren't exactly taking defensive swings. Almost 100 pitches in four innings. Just another Kopech start.
  7. The Sox won five in a row but that was sometime, somewhere in a galaxy far, far away.
  8. Grifol stated that fans don't understand Moncada and that Moncada will produce more as his back keeps improving. Any kind of offense will help.
  9. On the post-game show, Ozzie went on a rant against a publicly funded stadium. I agree with him. No way should JR get two publicly funded stadiums. There is no way JR should have leverage with the team he has now.
  10. Looks like he is. They should play him every day to find out.
  11. Refused to watch this game. Checked the score to see the Sox have given up runs in double digits again. It has been like that since the start of the season. Whoever heads up the FO has a hell of a job ahead of them. But don't worry, JR wants to win. Ozzie will tell you that, you working class scum.
  12. As far as I am concerned, the Sox can move to Nashville or any ville. This whole operation is pathetic.
  13. This is all a joke and not surprising. How long did it take to think of this?
  14. So things have changed. Why do I think things haven't changed?
  15. It only took 108 pages for this to happen.
  16. It's been a weird few days. All the talk about moving and new stadiums and now this. Maybe getting pounded over the weekend was finally it.
  17. My god, no. What's the point of firing Williams and Hahn, if you're going do this?
  18. Never thought he would have done this, especially at the same time. It had to be done, and now so much more has to be done. Let's hope he hires an outsider. This is shocking.
  19. We all know the major league sports is more business than sports. But right now, I don't care about talk about Nashville or a new stadium. The White Sox stink right now, and they are stinking to the heights of historic proportions. I'm not hearing anything about improving the product on the field. I am one that thinks this team stink for a long time. They don't deserve any kind of new stadium or sweetheart deal somewhere else. When JR's group bought the team in 1981, he said he had to have a new stadium to compete. 10 years later he got one. Attendance was great. But then there was 1994 and everything went to hell, including the team's performance on the field. Since 2005, the White Sox have won a grand total of three playoff games. Turn that around and we can talk about some dumb ass new stadium. Otherwise, sell the team to someone who can make money and win at the same time. That would be a novel idea, wouldn't it? Try it sometime, JR.
  20. I feel this way, too. In addition, I wonder, after all this silence, that there is a "leaked" story about a new stadium or the possibility of selling the team. There has to be a reason that this story came out. The Sox FO should know that something like this would not get a good reception. Other than that, there has to be a reason, perverted as it may be. In six years, GRF will be close to being 40 years old. Maybe a time for a new stadium? But not under threats.
  21. This time no JR threats should give him what he wants. If he wants to move the team out of GRF, he should have to move the team out of the city. He should do the honorable thing and sell. But we can't count on that. He likes to blame the fans. He can't blame the fans for the 2023 season.
  22. If there is any serious evaluation and interview process, it should be done by someone outside the organization. Someone who can look at things with an objective eye. In addition, this should have been done a long, long time ago, like at the end of 2011.
