  1. Just like many things that don't change. That is what is discouraging. My point is firing Grifol just to replace him with another one like him doesn't do much good.
  2. Firing Grifol is only part of the solution. Then the Sox need to do a real search, do real interviews and chose an experienced baseball man. Then let him pick his own coaching staff. Then let him do his job. Also, make sure he has no past connection to the Sox. Do things right for a change.
  3. I am going to spare myself the aggravation by not watching the game.
  4. It is hard to take this team seriously.
  5. And just another non-ending reason this team has no direction. Over 40 years of this nonsense.
  6. It is about time that JR teat the manager's job as a professional position. This a major league team for god's sake. With his stupid recent hires, JR only shows he has no interest in winning. It is about time the team get a real baseball man in this job. And make sure he is paid right.
  7. I am done with the rebuilds, too. The team has gotten nowhere. As far as getting a "haul" for Robert: If we think trading Robert is a good idea because he is injury prone, why should anyone else give a "haul" for him? I am tired of the tanking that just gives JR an excuse for not spending on free agents.
  8. What does Schriffen know about the South Side?
  9. Right. What is the point? Okay, so fire Grifol. Who is going to fire JR? The organization is a joke from top to bottom. And I don't care what is happening in the farm system.
  10. We should remember Kopech's first major league appearance was in 2018. Chuck Garfien was telling us he was the franchise savior. We are still waiting for that to happen. George Steinbrenner would have had several nervous breakdowns by now. A U-haul would have been needed to carry out all the people he would have fired. JR doesn't seem affected.
  11. I didn't watch last night's game, and I won't watch this one. It's like the policeman says, "Go on home. There's nothing to see here."
  12. Ozzie could help some, but he's not worth it. Too much baggage. Replacing manager would be just the start. Organization is falling apart.
  13. I hit 2032 and beyond because I really don't know when the Sox will return to the post season. And I don' think anyone connected to the team does either. Rebuilding can bring results. It can also produce nothing. I have been a fan for a long, long time. I've heard the rebuilding stuff for that long time. Don't listen anymore.
  14. As far as I am concerned, no one connected with the White Sox has any credibility. It starts with the owner working down to the GM and the Field Manager. It extends to the spokesmen on the post and pre-game show and ends in the TV broadcast booth. I don't believe in one thing that is said. And I couldn't care less about what is in the farm system. Next year is the 20th anniversary of the World Series team. A long time. It will get longer. Much longer. But can't wait for that new stadium!
  15. Stone is getting worse with age. The guy has no pride. He really needs to start playing shuffle board. Analyze that.
  16. Didn't he lose interest a long time ago?
  17. Grifol will be gone soon enough. Just no Ozzie Guillen. Ever.
  18. Pham is a good ballplayer, but being a hothead doesn't make you a leader. Didn't he strike out three times Sunday?
  19. If not, just plain old age. I don't think he has a clue anymore. But he's running the show.
  20. Schriffen is horrible. He thinks if he shouts into the microphone, it helps somehow. The Sox are 30 games under .500. Fake enthusiasm isn't the answer. But he is what JR wants. A kissass.
  21. The bottom line on that 8th was that the Sox should have taken control of the game with a rally. Instead, they ran themselves out of the inning and came up empty. Pham looks tough - but the Sox lose - again. The Brewers looked like whatever and they won - again.
  22. He's trying way too hard to paint a bright picture. A losing streak is a losing streak is a losing streak. He won't get anywhere insulting our intelligence. Same for Stone Poney who really ought to know better.
  23. I have no problem with firing Grifol, but he only symbolizes the problems the team is having. This is not a Major League franchise.
  24. The problem is there is no power structure within the White Sox that can wrest control from Reinsdorf. No decent owner would stand by and watch this nonsense. But all JR cares about is a new stadium that probably won't happen. Security people can confiscate all the banners they want, but that won't change the way fans feel. There is no reason for any fan to go to that ballpark. This franchise has disintegrated. John Allyn did better. Bill Veeck did better. Major League Baseball should not stand by and do nothing. This situation is nothing but a joke.
