I would love to have Wills back to call Sox games. He was the best post game host imho. That being said, Masur has been good when he has filled in so I have no problem with the move. Speaking of Dave Wills, I looked up his info and saw in college that he also worked for SportsPhone, a call-in service that provided one minute of sports scores and updates for Chicago. Haha, I had totally forgot about Sportsphone until I read that and said "Oh Yeah, I remember calling into that to get scores." Times sure have changed since my first flip phone.

Sox planning on having fans present in small amounts

Save me a seat in the upper corner of the upper deck. Think any beer vendors will head my way? -
Yes, I was thinking more about moving a guy down in the lineup, not necessarily benching them. Unless we have someone putting up Chris Davis-like 0-fer numbers.
-
With every game counting that sounds plausible. I mean look how often they pull starters early in the playoffs. Except the 2005 World Series Champs that is.

With Chewing Tobacco being banned for this season, are certain members of this board Jose Abreu fans now?
-
I will see Gio Gonzalez pitch in a White Sox uniform, Dammit!!!
-
With the shorter season, will we see managers playing the hot hands so to speak and shaking up lineups a bit more? I am just thinking that you cannot afford to keep a guy in the 3 hole for example if he is starting out slow.

You can't win the season in April August but you sure can lose it!!
-
The Sox will need to play well against the Tigers and Royals and pile up some wins. I assume the interleague schedule might be tough playing I would think against the Brewers, Cardinals, Cubbies and Reds.
-
I get you but I think I'd rather just end it in a tie than put guys on base, plus I am concerned about them not removing the change.
-
I'm excited to have baseball back but this rule change is just stupid!!
-
Out of 60 games, how many against the Cubs do we think? Or is there no interleague play this year until the World Series?
-
I have already celebrated my alma mater winning a simulated NCAA tournament this year so I'll take a White Sox World Series win this season and it would be quite meaningful imho.
-
While we are at it, let's add sign and trade to the ideas this year! Let's see what you can do with a deadline to work with Boras!!

Hey, at least the average age of MLB fans is not 70 in 2020. We would really not be getting anywhere then.
-
For the safety of all those involved and to limit unnecessary travel, I propose that the White Sox just play all 60 regular season games against the Tigers.

I put a 10 pack of AMC movie passes in my wife's Christmas stocking last season and she has not had the chance to use any of them yet. With rumors of AMC going out of business, i think she will be less picky about what we go see at the movies when they open back up.

RIP actor Ian Holm, age 88. I loved his work in the Fifth Element, a guilty pleasure movie for my wife and I.

FS: Taking A Look at potential all White Sox AFL roster
wegner replied to Y2Jimmy0's topic in Pale Hose Talk
Where can I get my AFL White Sox cap...I'm ready!!! I'm especially intrigued to see that outfield in action. If any of those 3 took a big step this year, that could be huge for the future imho. -
They should definitely televise that extended AFL season. It would be fun to watch those "prospect teams". Is my missing of baseball showing too much?
-
Speaking as someone who regularly would get upset with the White Sox blowing a game in September when they have already been mathematically eliminated from the playoffs in August....just bring White Sox baseball back under any cockamamie rule set and playoff structure that they want...I want to see Gio Gonzalez actually pitch for the Palehose dammit!!!

With revenues of 10 Billion, I would hope that they profited at least 10 million -

This would have been a great opportunity to give the sport a tremendous boost. Can you imagine what the tv ratings would have been for that Field of Dreams game? It would have been a great reminder that this is America's pastime. Just play James Earl Jones' speech before the game and play some damn baseball!!! That being said...both sides are at fault, but I have a hard time siding with the players when they have mouth pieces like Blake Snell. -
You know, someone has to play for the Cannon Ballers...welcome to the White Sox organization all unranked selections!!
