  1. They had that coming. That September was almost a horrific nightmare, but turned into a glorious October!!
  2. Playing spoiler for the Tribe...me likey.
  3. I would give Leury the day off after that clown show he put on last night.
  4. I'm not very strong with this statistical stuff so can someone answer the following: Since Palka doesn't put the put the ball into play does that mean his BABIP is sustainable or it isn't?
  5. Just put in Engel or Cordell. Let Garcia watch the rest of this one from the bench.
  6. How about to save time, just like with the intentional walk, the ump just puts up 3 fingers when Palka walks to the plate and Daniel just walks back to the dugout with his K
  7. Too bad we didn't have a decent CF to call up in September ?
  8. That's better than Yolmer, Engel and Cordell. We should have a very exciting combo of obp, speed and power throughout the lineup.
  9. We've got a chance to have a very strong 1 thru 9 in a couple of years. It will be nice to not have a crappy bottom third of the order.
  10. Wasn't aware of that. Thanks.
  11. I know he wouldn't be on the playoff roster, but if Yolmer was put on waivers could someone pick him up to dump Gatorade on them during the playoffs?
  12. From what I've seen of him, I just don't like his act. In L.A. I believe he had the reputation of taking plays off and only playing hard when he wanted to. Plus I would like a LH hitter out there to balance the lineup. I know I'm in the minority here but I'm looking forward to Steele Walker out there. Sign someone to a 2 year contract until he is ready.
  13. POY is all well and good but he still has at least 2 weeks of boxes to check before he is MLB ready
  14. I don't really like it, but I think Puig will be the FA signed to play RF next season.
  15. Jim Rice definitely hit the ball the hardest of any person I ever saw play on the South Side (unfortunately for the wrong Sox). Every time I was at the ball park he seemed to hit a bb out of there in a hurry. The only player that I've seen in person close to him would have been Albert Belle. But that is all my eye test...I have no idea what the exit velocity would have been for either of them.
  16. Haha. You just made my day!! I especially love the part where the ball gets flipped to the CF who was not looking....he must have been admiring the blazing speed of Karko flying around the bases.
