I played a short pick up game there once while driving through. If I remember correctly it is a bit short. They might need to cut back some more corn or the Yankees might hit 30 home runs at least.
One other thought, will they put up a fence? If not, I would love to see someone like Engel go back on a bomb and try to run it down by heading into the cornfield.
I agree with you, plus I am smiling at the prospect of the installation of a Dylan Covey squished penny machine at Sox Park.
Keep and eye out for the Jose Paniagua Mold A Rama machine coming next season.
I also think that Abreu will be back next year. I believe they always wanted Jose here for when Robert comes up so he is as comfortable as possible.
But as a side question: Is there any chance that Sheets would be ready to join the big club to begin 2020? I know that Vaughan is the future at 1B but I am intrigued if Sheets could be a Left Handed hitting power option for DH/1B?
Actually not weird at all. That is the first way I heard it pronounced by someone (don't remember who) but obviously that was wrong.
I personally don't care how he pronounces it or even if he changes his name to Yolmer or even Yonder as long as he eventually plays anywhere near what he's been doing in AAA.
I am beyond excited to see him and Madrigal on the South Side next year.
The Royals and Tigers should still suck and need to be feasted on next year so I expect them to be in the playoff hunt. Need to spend $$ in the offseason though and get some quality MLB arms in here and someone to play RF.
The OBP, speed and power will be fun.
I agree with you that home runs are great but I love to see Timmy and Yoan run the bases. And I think Madrigal will be right there with them.
In fact it's been the other way around. I can think of at least a couple of times that someone in our division has made the playoffs solely on how badly they beat up the Sox that year.
Maybe the Sox can compete for a wildcard next year if they get the job done against the Tigers and Royals.
