Sometimes it happens that a lottery ticket works out. I get that and have no problem with that. What I always thought was a joke was that the Sox had to give up a lottery ticket at all in the deal. Erik Johnson should have been more than enough. Shields sucked so bad with the Padres that the owner of the team was personally calling him out. p.s. I am not saying that Johnson was any good. I am saying that this should have been nothing but a partial salary dump by San Diego. The Sox should have been able to get Shields for virtually no actual current or future talent.

It might not mean anything but I do not want our young players to get the idea in their heads that they cannot beat Minnesota. Put that previous ass whooping sweep in the rear view mirror. They came to town and we won 2 out of 3, that'll work. For too many years, the Sox just looked like they were waiting for something to go wrong in those games, especially up in the dome.

It is just time to move on since no matter what happens Tatis Jr will not be a member of the White Sox until we trade for him in 2037 when the Dodgers are trying to shed payroll and the Sox give up our #3 pitcher and a couple of lottery tickets who hopefully don't pan out.

Imho, Colome has increased his value lately showing that he can come in the 8th and still finish the game strong in the 9th. That being said, I agree that you only get rid of him if someone makes a very generous offer.

I hate getting spanked by the Twins. Plus they have a front office that knows what they are doing. They score a shit ton of runs and have a good farm system they can use to supplement themselves by calling up prospects and/or use them as trade bait. Sorry but I rarely get to sit down and watch a whole game and when it's an ass kicking like 4 out of 5 of the Twins games have been it's disheartening. The good news is that I can't watch tomorrow so Giolito should be lights out.
