  1. Thanks and I'll take that Yeeeessss for the Jose bomb as well!!
  2. I had to step away and missed most of the bottom of the 8th...is it safe to say that they get out of that inning with the lead if Rondon doesn't screw up?
  3. Yes, it was. That is all I have to say. Yes, it was.
  4. This is actually terrific forward thinking by Rick Renteria. Not only is there the interleague games, there is the future World Series matchup where we will be dealing with no DH. It is down the road but something we have to be prepared for.
  5. He eventually became a terrific return for Alex Rios!!
  6. No one who watched that first inning. Nice battling effort from Reynaldo today.
  7. Thanks Tom. I missed the Thompson signing. Interested to see how much Dahlquist gets...he was asking for 2 Million from what I've read?
  8. The ball explodes off his bat in the highlights I have seen. Very excited to see how quickly he can move through the minors. Now that he is signed, let's take care of the 2-3 picks and get some young big upside arms in the system.
  9. Carson the opener...that is his future with the Sox if they choose to try it. Why not?
  10. He did indeed. I have hope that he could be a nice 4-5 option in the starting rotation going forward. And that would be a good thing especially with how Lopez has looked.
  11. I came here looking for some Jack Parkman enthusiasm for Reynaldo Lopez to give me some future hope....I guess I will leave now
  12. I really think Steele is our future in RF. Plus he's got an 80 grade baseball name!!
  13. I was at Soxfest with my son when Kenny Williams walked by and I asked him who did we get back in the Chad Bradford trade and he said a very exciting catcher named Miguel Olivo who he said I was going to really like...and I did especially since he was swapped for sweaty Freddy. The other I remember was being at Wrigley for the crosstown and I was getting Paul Konerkos autograph in the first year he was with the Sox. I asked him if he was playing today and he said there is no DH in the National League. I said I knew that but I thought he might be at 1B. He looked at me like I had 3 heads since Frank played there...times change ?
  14. Let's trade a package of Abreu, Jay and Alonso. We will call it the "great in the clubhouse" combo. Any takers? ?
  15. Jon Jay batting .400 with an OPS of .900. Trade him quick. He's a great clubhouse presence you know!!
  16. I agree with you that the team has to make most of its improvement internally. If the young guys do not work out, free agency is going to give us nothing but hope for lightning in a bottle. I am just saying that I doubt the Sox are going to sign the premier free agents, so they better come in quickly at fair market for the tier 2 free agents to supplement a young core that needs to be getting better. And like I have said before, I just do not trust Hahn to trade the right "surplus" prospects to fill our holes.
  17. I'm only on board if he changes his name to Carlos
  18. The future of Carson Fulmer is to be an opener for the 2021 World Series Champion Chicago White Sox
  19. The Sox will not be signing the big free agents so we are going to have to get lucky and sign more Jermaines Dyes and less Jeff Keppingers.
  20. The 2 phrases that I do not want to hear from this organization any time soon are "salary relief" and "financial flexibility"
  21. Losing with Alonso and Jay in the lineup is hard to take. I'd rather they turn a page and move on from them both. I am going to give a bit of a meathead take here, but I'd rather see a lifelong Sox fan like Tilson in the lineup than Jay. And I think I'd rather see Cordell more because of his upside. Give Cordell extended at bats and see what we have and if he does not produce, move on.
  22. Jon Jay may be a useful player, but I do not remember a player with more apathy about in the recent history of the White Sox. Jon Jay has been reinstated...meh. Even someone like Despaigne got a better reaction when he was called up, although that reaction was generally "who?"
