If the Sox are picking the guy who they have as the best available on their board then I can live with their pick. If they are picking based on trying to sign a guy below slot, then I do not like it. Don't play around when you have the 3rd pick.
I am torn between him and Abrams, but I think Vaughan is the right call for the Sox at this time. How quickly would he be able to move through the system and get to the South Side?
Then let him hang around the clubhouse. I am 0% interested in ever seeing him bat in an actual MLB game for the White Sox. He is useless to this rebuild imho.
We are in the weakest division in baseball so maybe they will be able to be at .500 by the end of the season. However, that will be awfully tough if the Twins continue to feast on us like they did last weekend.
