In 2 out of 3 cases we would have been better off being shut down. Once again proving that some of the best deals are the ones you don't make.
Its easy to say that now but at the time of signing, not one of these were bad in my opinion.

And to get this thread back on track, just not optimistic we’ll see much movement between now and year-end. Maybe I’m wrong, but seems like the Sox basically shut things down over the last two weeks of the year.
They shut down for a couple weeks after last years winter meeting and then had three signings in the last two weeks last year if it gives you any hope lol
Gio Gonzalez 12/19
Keuchel 12/21
Encarnacion 12/25

I submitted a question for Merkin’s mailbox and he answered it.
Are the White Sox still targeting Liam Hendriks?
-- @LandoJQuintanaThe White Sox are interested in one of the game’s top closers, and it’s more than just passing interest. But they aren’t the only Major League team looking at Hendriks. It’s also not an all-or-nothing pursuit of Hendriks in terms of the White Sox adding another late-inning, high-leverage reliever.
• All the latest Hendriks rumors
There seems to be interest on Hendriks’ part as well, even looking back at his postgame comments concerning the White Sox after the then-Oakland right-hander finished them off in Game 3 of the Wild Card Series. Adding another quality reliever is an important move for the White Sox.
One of the worst things for a team trying to go beyond contention and win it all is to suffer those momentum-changing late-inning setbacks. While the White Sox have very good bullpen arms already in place, there’s never enough.

Surprised no one posted this yet. Recent history has proven that when Stone says something, it is true.
Awesome find. I’m pumped now

Hendriks + Richards would be my guess
That’s the #1 insider on Twitter lol. You can take it to the bank. I’m going to guess Hendriks and Snell! He used the word splash.

They gave Robertson 4 years and he wasn't as good as Hendriks is.

Twins are going to bring in some solid players over the next few months. Talent level pretty even between the two teams.
I agree with this. Twins always make some solid moves.

Behind who? Rays, Twins, & A’s?
I have them behind the Rays and I have to believe that when they are done this offseason, they will be behind the Yankees

Greg Holland just got a super bad deal in my opinion. Wisler also got a bad deal. These guys are coming off of very strong seasons. I don’t think Hendriks gets 4 years. I know he’s the best in the game but man, BP arms are not getting paid.

That’s always the big giveaway unless the source is somebody in the player’s camp. The problem is a guy like Al’s Beef has done this with multiple players so it’s very clear he’s at minimum slinging some shit against the wall even if hearing some stuff second hand.
This was always the biggest thing about the Schins guy. If he were to be believed he’s more connected than Rosenthal. I remember when they supposedly signed Ozuna and he tweeted that Ozuna is not a good person but cool to hangout with according to sources haha

Would still love to know how someone who has White Sox sources knows what other teams are pursuing a player and how hard. If he knows sources from each team, then kudos to him.
I strait up asked him but probably won’t get a reply.

Should I tweet this at him and find out? Lol

So how are we feeling guys? Is this a leak to get what you want from the white sox thing or is this a white sox being cheap and overplaying their hand thing?

Here comes NBC Sports. Listen Ryan , I have seen the Sox play chess before and they really suck at chess.

Passan latest about Hendriks. Insider though and I don't have, but opening paragraph just makes it sound like things are not that close.
I never really say stuff like this, because I don’t like having false hope but that paragraph looks like it was written by his agent and submitted so the Sox can reach his price already
