My last hope is that La Russa manages for a year with Hinch as his bench coach. This accomplishes a couple of things: 1. Redeems Jerry’s firing of La Russa 2. Lets La Russa get one last ride with a win now team. 3. Makes Hinch “pay his dues” after cheating and he’s not just handed the sweetest job in baseball. 4. Allows everyone to take a step away from the ledge.

Ill just say this. Tony is on record this year saying that he does not agree with players kneeling for the anthem. He went as far as to say he would send them back to the clubhouse. Can you imagine this 80 year old man sending Tim Anderson and Abreu to the clubhouse? Can you imagine the embarrassment and scrutiny that would bring to this orginaztion? Someone is going to ask Tony if he changed his stance at the press conference, you just know it. If he’s not prepared with the perfect answer there is going to be so much unnecessary drama brought to this team that is barely hitting their stride. Embarrassing.

I don't want TLR but to compare him to Hawk is funny. One is a hall of fame manager that has very recent front office experience and was always praised for being ahead of the competition, the other is Hawk.

Omg now I can breathe. Not Steve Cishek says they are going to spend. He has an amazing track record so this was all I needed to love the La Russa news.

I’m beyond the “this is a smokescreen” phase. I’m beyond the “Hahn operates in stealth mode “ phase. if Tony is already recruiting a staff, he’s getting the job. There is no way Jerry is stringing along his 76 year old hall of Famer friend to not give him the job.

If the Sox get La Russa and the Tigers get Hinch I will be very upset
