  1. Tony La Russa’s first order of business is to make Cordero fix that darn sleeve and look like a ball player
  2. La Russa as a one year manager with Hinch as bench coach “paying his dues” and replacing La Russa in ‘22. 1. La Russa gets one last shot 2. Easier p.r. Sell to make Hinch “earn it” 3. Kind of a cool story to have a hall of Famer come out of retirement to lead a team to the promise land as the face while Hinch does the heavy lifting.
  3. I hope the Bears bring back Ditka as well
  4. 1. Hinch 2. Cora 3. Ron Washington 4. Sandy Alomar Jr. 5. Tony La Russa (echoed that the Sox plan to reach out to him soon)
  5. I agree with that but with Bauer ill believe it when I see it. Especially in a pandemic.
  6. I'm certain that logic = no Bauer. Sox have never spent on a pitcher on Bauer's level especially at #1 in the FA market. Hinch or no Hinch, that ain't happening. Also Bauer said he'd even listen to the Astros if they wanted him.
  7. I mean, the guy has made plenty of money in his career. He obviously wants to manage and is probably in a position to take a pay cut to get closer to that ultimate goal.
  8. Between this and Bob’s article, it’s pretty safe to assume that Cora won’t get the job. It has to be Hinch. Everyone is hinting at him and he is the only candidate (besides La Russa) that hasn’t been shot down one way or another.
  9. Same. Let AJ come on as a bench coach. I don't think he's the guy for the job right now but he is a baseball genius and big personality. Let him grow as coach with us before some rebuilding team hires him and strikes gold.
  10. They are objectively the best managers available when you take into consideration the criteria the Hahn said he is looking for.
  11. Did anyone catch the part of Nightengale’s La Russa article where he said that Hinch as high on their list but they have shown no interest in Cora?
  12. I mean it’s not as crazy as believing a random, faceless dude on a message board but I’m not going to stop people from believing you.
  13. This was proven wrong today again.
  14. I just want to point out that Steve Stone was hinting towards Aj Hinch or Cora a while ago. I know recently someone posted that Steve Stone does not know as much as people think but I think this proves he does.
  15. I don’t think this is true. Every time he mentions that the Sox are or aren’t in on somebody it comes to pass.
  16. Did anyone catch Stoney this morning on the score?
  17. If you go through Steve’s responses on Twitter, it seems like he is replying to everyone that is bringing up Cora and Hinch. Not squashing the idea at all.
  18. I would not mind seeing the White Sox sign Brantley with the thought of Eloy becoming a full time (ish) DH.
  19. They will give both a chance to figure it out because 162 games is more forgiving than 60 and it’s cheaper than acquiring a SP.
  20. Maybe I am reading the room wrong but I have a feeling that they will. Steve Stone, Chuck Garfein, Frank Thomas and Ozzie Guillen rip him without fear. Jerry owns these guys, and if Renteria was their guy, he would have squashed it weeks ago. Instead it has just gotten worse and worse. Even Gordon and Kap we’re ripping him a new one on Baseball Night in Chicago. It just doesn’t seem very “White Sox” to let those things slide. Also, I think Jerry realizes that he could fire Renteria and not make many significant FA signings this off season and casual fans will be pacified. Just my gut feeling right now. Renteria really crumbled under pressure. Got ejected in 3 of 5 games in the middle of a fight for the division and a horrible losing streak in which he made some very bone head decisions. Not to mention the Collins appearance and the last game of the playoffs (not 100% on him).
