When I read what Martino said, he seems to be confirming 8/250 rather than piggy backing off of someone else’s reporting. So that would be another reporter confirming 7/175 is wrong.

Ken suggests that the Pads or Mets should go 8/250. Martino is saying that The White Sox are close to that. He isn’t saying Ken said that. He is confirming that those numbers are close to where Chicago is. Suggesting he has inside info on the Sox offer.

I think Manny's post season is an easy scapegoat for an owner who just doesn't want to pony up what he's really worth. Manny Machado for 10 yrs 300 million and everything less than that is fair in my opinion.
