He seems legit, he's followed by Morosi, Heyman and Nightengale. Hopefully his source is good. I do not see why he would need to make something up. I think the most telling sign is he didn't try to "break the news" on Twitter. He just mentioned it in a podcast.

Admittedly, I didn't hear it but people on twitter are saying Bruce Levine doubled down this morning and said the Sox wont get either but the Cubs will get Harper and can easily trade Heyward. Did anyone catch that?

My take, Passan (who has legit sources and has been right all off season) reports : Sox willing to go 10+ years. I believe the White Sox did not want this info out because they did not want to lose leverage so they quickly fed Bruce the 7 year info.

Bruce is really dead set on this. I just don't see this is even remotely possible for many reasons. Why would they be hung up over 3 extra years for 26 year olds. Harper already turned down a 10 year offer. Why would the Sox believe they can get either for 7? Sounds so stupid.
